Livermore will be no better than jenas, there ive said it.Jenas was someone with a good engine, tried hard but was just a ballcarrier who gave the ballaway a lot(actually scored goalswith good late runsat jakes age). Jakeis very similar but instead of the oddgoalhe contributes the odd tackle.Are we really that worried about not producing our own players enough that we have to ridiculously overrate the ones that do come through?! If Livermore was a foreign signing same age, and experience level as jake wed allbe moaning how he wasnt good enough. He is solid but that isit, top 10 player at best.

On to the ITK how reliable is castles? I know aqka has been a bit poor this window so far it seems. More with timings than interest though it has tobe said.... Duty free may come to fruition after all. Buy me Berba back, he is as good of a striker as we had in mylifetime!

We would be insane not to take up Berbatov if the alternative is no one. There's not even that kind of quality at that value in any actual alternative either.

Berba won't happen. Why would he come back here ? It would be wrong on quite a few levels, not with standing his abilities on the pitch. He most likely doesn't want to play for any other PL team, and is looking forward to a new adventure in another country. We could bid 15m for him and he likely still wouldn't come, and would leave to somewhere else for 5m.

Keane came back as a failure at Liverpool though for less money and fans were very pleased.What he did was worse than berba imo, berba always said no CL=leaves after two years and we got BIG money for him he didnt do a Sol! Keane on the other hand flat out lied about wanting to finish career here blah blahthen left for one of his 250 boyhood clubs.
If berba came back it would be for a tenth of what we sold him for! Plus he still is class and last time he played nearly regularly he got top scorer! Mental if you dont want him at that price with his ability

Since the LD deal has broke down i honestly think signing Berbatov would be inspired, im not his biggest fan cause of the way he left us and his lack of work rate but think of his hold up play, vision and most importantly his calm head in front of goal. If you gave me a choice of Berbatov or Defoe its Berba every time for me

In a situation like last Saturday when no Ade, whp would you prefer up top - Berba or JD? Know who I'd have. If we have no real alternative, and at the money it would cost, then its a no-brainer.
