I agree that this move is best for club and player, but at the same time, Dawson has been a great servant and captain for the club. One of the few to put everything on the line. I look forward to applauding him upon return.

sad to see him go, but was one of those things that needed to be done for the good of the club, so its good news really! #ThankYouDaws

Quick

@Stoof

Stamp the Dawson sold before he changes his mind............

As we know the stoof stamp is the official sign we have sold/signed someone (y)

Edit- #ThankYouDaws always 100% commited and loved the passion! But it was best for both parties :)

Twitter comments on that Daws post are full of little 12 year old pricks who are making my blood boil. The comments on here are bad enough!

He had faults but was one of the longstanding players who were part of the return of good times at the lane. I salute you Mr Dawson. Best of luck in your future endeavors. May you always get a warm reception and be welcome at the lane.

Loved Dawson as a guy just wasn't really good enough to be a regular for us now, not in the style of football we are trying to play. I hope the club get him back once he has hung up his boots and gets him in as a coach/club ambassador or something.

Would make sense that Fazio wouldn't be announced until tomorrow even if it's done, giving Dawson the (deserved) spotlight for today.

My thoughts exactly. It'd almost be a bit rude to say "Thank you, Daws" and then turn around and then be like "Well then, here's his replacement #ForgetAboutDaws"

Selling Paulinho is a massive mistake and not something I see Poch doing because he seems like he's got his head screwed on.

Can't understand How you can be so certain of that?

Imo he has shown nothing (and I was a believer) so if we can get most of our money back it would be great.

Why gamble a second year on a player with so few good moments? It's like hoping Lennon can finally make doble figures in my point of view.

Sure he can be a sucess at other clubs, but hey, let them take the risk. It's not like we don't have other talents in our Squad.

He's so shit yet he's our top scoring midfielder, a regular for Brazil, a World Cup semi finalist, has had a year to adjust to his new club, getting a well earned rest the last few weeks after a solid 2 years and the only box to box player we have

But yeah, let's make Chelsea stronger! Genius!

Sad times. He was an admirable ambassador for the club, and one of the few over the last couple of seasons that put his heart and soul into every match.

In more positive news, at least the sky over White Hart Lane is no longer a no-fly zone.

Well.. We still have Townsend.

The CIA drone downed in Iran year, that was him.

T'internet is not far off collapsing under all the WUMs these days. Folks seem to prefer being destructive rather than constructive...

Good arguments on paper, but I haven't seen anything from him on the field yet to suggest you are right. Anyway, onions, right?(y) I would love it if you are right, but as you can see I have a very different view on this matter.
