So AY is implying Bale is considering staying and AVB isn't interested and is looking to move on.

Part of that makes me think, fuck yeah that must mean AVB is excited about the future for us and the players we could potentially bring in.

The other part of me thinks that makes no sense and if AVB had conversations with Willian to try convince him to come, I'm sure he'd go a lot further than that to convince Bale to stay if there was any hint of him wavering.
Or AVB can see that this set of players is in their way to becoming a team where the ball gets passed A LOT. And shocking as it may seem Bale stands in the way of that. He likes to go solo (like Townsend - but I think he is much easier to mould into the shape of the team we want) and AVB likes quick short passes.
Just a thought

I can it being somewhere in between. Maybe Andre just wants to distance himself now that the season has started and concentrate on coaching. He's had months to convince Bale....what else can he say

"No errrrrrrr. This time I'm serious we are errrrrrrrr going to challenge for the title, lets hug again but this time I jump and you catch me'
Who is Bale to demand ANYTHING. We made him. If we win the title, great. If not, do your fucking job.
How's that for a pep talk.

Hows does on post in the RO, and on the front page community news for that matter?

I don't know about the front page but for ITK:

Go in here: http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?forums/sc-itk.83/

Click "post new thread". Put who the info came from, Hertid for example, what site it came from and the date and put whatever was said.

A mod will then review it and if it's deemed worthy, will make it live so everyone else can see it.

This is gonna be one hell of a final week of the transfer window. If Bale goes but Lamela comes in I'll be happy with that, we've built a more than capable squad to do some serious damage on the PL. Adding Vlad into the picture will be good for central defense obvious reasons. Onwards and upwards I say.

Levy crashes spanish satellites to relay this message!!

"My name is General Levy.
I have journeyed across an ocean of stars to reach you. Your country has sheltered one of my players. He will try look like one of you, but he is not one of you."

"To those of you who know of his location, the fate of your city rests in your hands. To Ba-El I say this: Return to training within 24 hours or watch Madrid suffer the consequences!!"

Seriously though I hope he stays! !

I get that view but it was all set up to be Willian AND Lamela.

There would still be £30 million allocated that we were happy to spend? I don't want us to get panic buy and purchase any old player but surely there is a versatile ACM/LWF out there who we can get in this week (and who is of the quality standard we need).

So you would agree to strengthen our direct competition at our own expense?

Well, there is no right answer. Assuming Man United are willing to pay 22 million and Hernandez more than Madrid (who will be paying us 78 million), and we sell to Madrid to avoid strengthening United, we would be weaker in relation to Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City than we would be if we sold Bale to Man United, as we would have given up nearly 40 million to avoid strengthening one rival. I'm not sure that being a picky selling club is great business sense.

Let's not fall for this stellar signing nonsense again, surely we are too long in the tooth for that. DL running around Europe with a wheelbarrow of cash etc. Reality is, we will do well to sign Lamela, who I haven't seen much of, but is apparently a top prospect but without signing a left back and another attacking player of extremely high quality we will be weaker IMO. With respect to the stellar signing malarkey, can anyone name one top level player who would come to Spurs who would be in the bracket we would be looking for...I can't.

Just trying to play catch up today but stellar signing?
