to be quite honest while its nice spurs always in the news im really sick of hearing spurs in for player x. y and z or another classic of spurs have enguired for player x y or z! spurs show conviction who you want , get the fucking deal done on the quiet and quickly and then announce it for fans. dragging the crap out of it . its like they do it on purpose to flush any other team out and when its a clean run they bid.. we need creative attacking players with a bit of guile and graft. get them in, more action less talk.

Has the club been talking, then?

If only transfers were that simple...

true but the players we want are the players that agree to it stright away and not set up a bidding war. any spurs dealing with player willl and should know straight away if player is keen or not.. if he is get the deal done. i just find it unreal any player we sign or linked too its dragged thru the press and public knowledge. no one every knows what arsenal really do or to extent chelsea do. its all guess work with them but with us everyone knows our business imo.

Well, JJ's info about Jason Burt is useful.
That last article he wrote is like a one stop shop on what could be going on.
The fine line where ITk and journalism meets.

every tom dick and harry is an itk at spurs . stuff leaks fair enough but stuff expecially in this age when city and chelsea can buy any player they want at flick of finger , then all negioations with us should be leakproof no matter what imvho. ferguson talks about this the whole time with united. the only time us fans should get wind of any transfer is when it is done and not itk done!!

Isn't a discussion around Lloris' location directly related to Akqayid's ITK from yesterday? It's the most on topic ive seen for a while...

True I guess, it was just the talk of addresses in the US that had me thinking wtf is this :D

I'm still not sure on Dembele to be honest. I like him as a player for sure but I'm just not sure he's exactly what we need at this stage. I would like to see a striker, pacy wide man and a Modric replacement before anyone else and Dembele isn't any of them.

Looks like him and Stobart are the ones to look out for.

Interesting. It's possible but as you say mere conjecture. Let's wait for action?

Villas Boas saying 3 strikers is enough and he would like to get one more in is this meaning Adebayor and someone else?

Unless he`s counting VDV as a striker then I would assume that means Ade +1 to go along with Defoe...Quite frankly Kane doesn`t look ready...

But you are in an 'In The Know' forum for spurs transfers, with the sole purpose of us trying to get the inside track on who our targets are and how the transfer is progressing....If you go to an arsenal forum, there will be something similar there! Chelsea do business in a very overt way, hounding down Torres and Modric in the press, so i'm confused as to what the point you are making is? (maybe the strange structure of your sentence is hiding the point, i cant quite make it out)

I agree, I always find it sobering to review who has signed who. Even now only teams like Fulham, Wigan, Reading and QPR have signed more than 2 players. I think we had intensions of signing a few early doors (and have in Sig and Vert) but as soon as we get push back (Lloris and Ade) you just know its going to drag until the end of the window before concluded one or another.

If ITK distresses you so much then why do you read it and participate in an ITK thread?

Honest question.

Wouldn't you be better off just waiting for the club official announcements?

You know all our business? Could you tell the rest of us what it is?

Yep, even more sobering to go back over all the previous years and all the fans' cravings for players who we didn't actually get but went elsewhere and proved an unmitigated disaster! (sorry, can't think of names off hand, but they are there, a number of dodged bullets)

Hopfully modric goes by the weekend and we can concentrate on getting in some players next week.
When we get back from the us a few of the fringe players will also go.
Until then I can see it being quiet on the itk (apart from the bs).

There have been many mentions of Pienaar's satying in the UK suggesting a move is imminent. What was the criminal case he was involved in recently? Could that be the real reason?

HappySpur said Lloris was in Montreal not NYC. I think there were photos too.

yes, and their big game is in New Jersey on the 28th. Not like Montreal is that far away from NY.

I have a little ITK.....one could theoretically drive from NYC to Montreal in a little under 6 hours in a shitty 1985 Mercury Capri with a dodgy radio. Don't ask how I know this. After the club came down on Dragon, I don't want to be the next to face Levy's wrath.

The point isn't proximity, as you would be hard pressed to finish a full episode of the Closer on a flight between the two cities unless they kept playing the video while taxiing.

The point was that he came in acting contrite and feeling like he was doing us bitches a favor by giving us a precious nugget of truth. He said, and I quote "Lots of rumours that Lloris is in London today. He isn't. He's firmly training with Lyon in NYC (Jersey)" referring to yesterday. I went out to find the picture circulating of the Lyon team in Times Square to give him some credibility as he was taking a bashing. But when I found in a 3 minute search, a picture of them in Montreal, timestamped, I was a little annoyed that I had tried to help him. So I quite plainly showed that the ITK had no truth to it. He was firmly in neither NYC nor London and he was firmly on a team outing and not training. FFS, depending on the side of the river, he wasn't even in a place that speaks English and will be kind of douchey if you try your best to speak French. If you're gonna come in here and treat us like you're doing us a favor, then don't Mike Ashly it and fail to do due diligence. I'm semi-retarded and figured that out in seconds. It's not rocket science or brain surgery. In fact, it's much easier than finding the absolute right 3 minute clip of porn to finish the job.

Total shit. You're not talking about going to the shops and buying a pack of sweet. These are deals involving transfers of assets worth multiple millions and huge commitments from multiple parties to get the right deal for themselves.

It would be suicidal to go around spunking money on more than a player is worth to us by just going in and getting it done. The selling club may be happy to wait until you're desperate for example.

Why do you think Madrid haven't just 'gotten it done' yet with Modric? Because he's fucking expensive and they could theoretically save 10m.
