Your comment needs saving and adding to every player thread .
I totally agree .
IE A flying right back is basically a wing back . They are just good players who can fit in different system regardless of manager .
Could not disagree further than both of these posts!

Man Utd are a perfect example over the years of the opposite.

chelsea more recently.

Liverpool this season. To bake very recent examples.

That’s cool. Which quality players in those teams did not work between managers ?
Im not saying going out and spend 100 million on a player , if they are young ( ish) , say Bentancur that sits in the club remit they would surely work in different systems ? 343,352,4231 what ever . Do you understand what I mean ?

Tbh, I can’t be arsed to go through it and it’s not the thread to do so either.
I just disagree that you could stick anyone in charge of decent players, it’s proven that doesn’t work all over the world!

Good news. I don’t understand why we always leave everything so pissing late, though. ???

Squeezing out the best possible deal with the pressure of time running out has always taken priority over getting players in earlier, integrating them quicker and potentially picking up more points.

I get it happens sometimes, but the pattern is always the same.

Absolutely baffling.

really not sure if i'm that excited for these players or not. Sure, we need some upgrades because at the moment anything is better than watching some of the incumbents. But watching arsenal, chelsea et all dine at the top table i have been wondering if these are 15m 'young and might improve / won't lose value' levy players, or ones patrici has identified to take us to the next level. i want us to dine at the top table given we're supposed to be able to (be closer to) competing with the big boys.

So appreciated and exited that we have incomings. i hope they're good enough for us to push on (for the player thread on that point)

Heard nothing on a CB although it's obvious we are definitely looking to strengthen in that position.
Thanks for the updates you legend.

Let’s hope we can get those 2 in as they could have a similar effect to when we signed Kulu & Bentancur.

Ideally we need a CB as well tbh but now Conte has gone back to the back 3 from end of last season we seem to be becoming more solid again.

Big week coming up. Another reason for getting these 2 signings in would be that it would hopefully give the crowd a real lift going into the City game ???
