This. His record used to be decent-ish when Bent was around but it's been a bit threadbare since, although to be fair he doesn't come out with anywhere near as much info as he used to. I also thought he had a job with a newspaper or something, al la Roger Morgan but I might be wrong.
Nup. Retired guy who used to play golf with Bentinho's daddy. Well, maybe he still does play golf with father Bent but well, who gives a flying wotsit about Villa.

Top quality is not what we can afford plus injuries leave us light and another surrender of top four spots would then seem likely.
Really?
Vertonghen, Dembele, LLoris say hi(y)

We are pretty good in most positions and unless we rotate those players will tend to be shit unless they get a run of games which we never do. We got Townsend and Rose coming back with the likes of Pritchard, Carroll and Bentaleb looking very good as well.

I see Monaco are now rumored to be signing Falcao, Valdes and Coentrao. I cant believe what they are doing - it is like one big F U to FFP. Or maybe it is calculated. what are the FFP sanctions? Banned from european cups for X seasons? And then what?

Its not though, most clubs spend their money on wages. Monaco will pay players lower wages than most european clubs. Moutinho on €100k a week is equal to him getting €400k a week at PSG or €200k a week at city. The lack of income tax means that their wage bill will be very low.

Its actually brilliant tbh

Not sure why there is talk of Monaco in here.

Also newspapers articles go into the players threads. Not here

Sorry, since this is THE forum to hang out in for spurs fans interested in the transfer market i thougth it was ok to discuss transfers in general.

Also this summer has already seen some big money put into the transfer market and it looks like there are plenty more big transfers to come. I think this will have a very big impact on our own chances in the market. And not for the better imo...

Thanks for the reply. FFP seems to be about a lot more than wages though. Found this summary pretty good: http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/financial-fair-play-explained.php

I just dont understand how they can get away with it.

Ill stop talking monaco now

Well I doubt very much that the French league would accept this.

My guess is that Monaco would have to follow the same rules as everyone else.

This thread is bad enough with just our transfer rumours. Other teams can go into general football

So any more news on David Villa? Dailymail are running a story about us bidding 10 million for Villa but then somehow warp the article into another Bale to Madrid story. Bloody retards.

I see. Have there been experiments with a separate "general transfer talk" thread in the transfer rumors forum in the past? Maybe that would ease the burden on the daily ITK thread? I guess the discussions in the ITK thread tend to drift off when there is no actual daily ITK to discuss ;)

I'd like to see an 'ITK discussion' discussion thread. Maybe we can debate this in an 'ITK discussion discussion thread' discussion thread?
