Agreed, I think we start the season like this and possibly add a CB if the right one becomes available later in the window - bloody Inter.

I know we want an AM, but it seems very quiet currently

We were only told about Zaniolo mid way through last week, the end of the week before we were told about maddison and they’re two deals we are interested in but they will be deals that are difficult and take time to do. It’s not gone quiet it will just take time and we won’t get daily updates. We’ve had so much itk which has been amazing so we’ve gotten used to near daily itk.

With ITK being sparse on the ground. Paul OKeefe on twitter mentioned the club had closed shop and were annoyed about the Spence photos being leaked before the announcement.

I quite like it when we sign a player out of the blue.

I remember being in the kitchen and hearing on the news that we had signed Teddy Sherignham from Forest, I sprinted into the lounge to confirm what i thought i had heared.

Also, I remember transfer deadline day about 5.55pm, the window closing at 6pm I think. Jim White saying a dutch international has been seen driving into Hotspur Way then going to a commercial break. The longest 3 minutes of my life later and Rafa VDV was on the brink of signing!

Yeah I can't speak for everyone but I know for sure that it's very quiet my end. The only thing I heard which is common knowledge already was that the club are working on deals out now (not because we need the money), as we need to streamline the squad a little before looking at bringing in a couple more. I'll be shocked if Winks, Tanganga, Lo Celso, Ndombele and Reguilon aren't all gone by the close of the window as they have no future with us whatsoever.

Players like Rodon, Emerson & Doherty also could go if we receive an offer we deem acceptable but Conte is happy to have them all around if not. With Lucas as another option at RWB, either of Emerson or Doherty are expendable.

Anyway, although it may he quiet and a bit boring at the moment, it's so refreshing to do business early as big clubs should to avoid the 'exciting' panic buying we've historically seen.

Once again, we are in exceptionally good hands, Conte is delighted with the business we've done and this is only just the beginning.

Cheers for the info as always mate. Shame about Tanganga, had a really promising start to his senior career. His leg injuries look worrisome for someone so young though. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

Folks saying "No ITK"................ I could hear this ITK above 5 times a day 7 days a week and it will never get old and puts a smile on my face every time.
