So the window opened today and we've already had 'itk' saying that we've agreed a fee for Moutinho, Holtby is close to signing a pre-contract agreement, Sneijder is close to signing, two of our top people have spent a week in Amsterdam negotiating a deal for Eriksen, we're in for Demba Ba and Llorente, Gomes is off back to Brazil, Huddlestone's off to Reading, Benoit's signing for PSG and we're offering Adebayor, Parker and Livermore around for transfer. It's going to be a long month o_O

Verts is a beautiful man, even when he looks half-gone.

More importantly, is that olives or grapes lying all over their table ? Looks like a cheeseboard on the go, must be grapes.

Messy pups.

what you don't see is that it's defoe taking the pic ... that's why clint's flipping the bird
That's not the bird, that the V's

Interesting that that photo of the lads is our Franco/Belgian/Brasil er... USA players.

None of the British players there. I guess old habits die hard and cliques still exist.

Does this mean we have 3 cliques?

1. Franco/Belgian/Brasil/USA
2. British
3. Adebayor?

No wonder they won't pass to him :(
:)
Doesn't Benny represent Cameroon? Albeit he was signed from a French club?

There's a few Brazilians at Chelsea that Sandro seems to be hanging out with (uploaded a pic of them at his house on Instagram) so I reckon he'll be alright.

Leandro coming would give him another mate as well :sneaky:

I'm sure Gomes was a good influence though, all making him go to church instead of going out. They really are close, Sandro used to go over to his house for dinner almost every day I think.

Has Holtby ever worked with Freund before? If so it could work in our favour.

I was trying to figure that out myself. Freund was the Germany U20 Assistant Head Coach in 2007. He ws alHoltby would have been around 17-18. I'd imagine he'd have some direct contact with him via youth camps, etc. I'm not sure how familiar he is with him, but that SO ITK stated that Freund is pushing hard for him.

After looking it up, Holtby was in the Germany U20 World Cup Squad in 2009. It says that during this time Freund was the manager of the U17. It's reasonable that he'd be well aware of his talents, even if he didn't directly coach him.

Hotly would be a very canny signing. Shame it isn't a Jan possibility. If true we should know very soon. Absolutely no need for smoke and mirrors if we've signed contracts. So at lest we can quickly see if it's the usual Twitter cack.

Isn't that normally Wenger's style

Holtby scored in a match for the u20s on 2/10/09 and 10/10/09, Freund went to manage the u-16s in July that year.

They may not have had direct contact per se, but i'm sure Freund will have at least known plenty about him as prior to that Holtby played 12 times for the u19s, so Freund would have been looking at him for the u20s before his leaving that role

if Gomes is going south doesn't necessarily mean that some one else is heading north but by all means lets speculate, its what we do best :)

They're all barred from that particular restaurant, something to do with a poodle, lady boy and fire extinguisher.

Either that or they're all at the bar.
