We need a manager now, let a lone next week. We need to be working our squad now and if we are to lose a big player we need to get someone in to at least try and replace them!!

Most likely someone like Callejon, Diarra or Granero?

Can't see us getting Kaka, wages out of our reach and any of their starting 11 and subs are probably not for sale.

i would take the goats latest info with a bucket of salt and here's why, Modric is not worth anything more than 30 million pounds. now firstly why would Madrid part with 35 million and a player in this exchange, really ????? secondly we are waiting for the new manager to make that call yet we will gleefully buy Vertegnon for upwards of 10 million without needing said new managers approval.

if this comes across as ITK bashing then it is not meant to be, i am merely doubting that info and providing reason for this.
I don't think there is any manager that would not see we need a CB for the long term, and Vertogen would tick any managers boxes so don't really think it's the same as selling modric

Errrrrr maybe because thats the price the selling club wants for him?

You are aware of how Daniel Levy operates yes?

£35m + player is about the right amount.

Can't wait to see the Bernabeu boo when he has one of those shots that dribble 10 yards wide of the post.

booing is Beneath the spanish clubs (unless you're opposition or black:cautious: ...)

Respectfully disagree, I think Modric is worth every penny of £35m plus.

35m+ a player, really? If its a player that we'd be interested in and actually want to have that'd probably value the deal at about 50m.

You cant forget about the Kaka's and Benzema's of this world. We won't pay close to their wages and they won't want to come. Maybe someone like Sahin could be do-able, particularly because that would be the position Modric would fill (assuming the bid is for him).

If the player is Sahin, or someone of a similar ilk then i would expect the money to only be about 20m, tops.

The assumed worth of a player is irrelevant. What's important is the amount the selling club demands.
yes i get that, i am pointing to the credibilty of the actaul information. as a matter of interest what did madrid pay for Ozil or that De Maria chap. my point is i do not think we will get over 35 million for Modric let alone that some and a player in as well for him going the other way. i also mentioned the players above as i do not think they paid near that value for them. CHelsea got desperate at the end were willing to pay that. Madrid are not desperate if they are indeed interested.

well i have no doubt a new manager will be in by start of pre season - im just praying its blanc cos whatever way you put it he is the best of a bad bunch!! i think he is quality mind .

anyway we head off to america this summer so common sense would say that any new signings would like be brought in by then and if we are talking about modric leaving for 35m + surely spurs would want that money and replacement brought in as well as others in a perfect chance to gel them into squad for american games and trip?

i really hope spurs dont just take the money and run and wait till last minute to try and buy a couple of less cheaper options .

I haven't seen this much nonsense regarding a +1, since my wife got wind of the 19 year old Indonesian prostitute woman I brought to my friend Steve's wedding. I mean seriously, my wife isn't fun and won't do butt sex.....why is she acting so "divorcey" about it.

Altintop would be a decent, albeit somewhat short term deal. You know, the ones that Harry used to specialize in.
