Be very sad to see him go, but in some ways he’s doing us a favour, provided the money is reinvested.

Not necessarily mate, the club know 100% if/when Kane leaves they need to do something serious to appease the fans so I would highly expect the likes of Muani/Vlahovic to come in very quickly following his departure. I know we have spoken to both Frankfurt & Juventus about both players.

Thanks for the reply mate.

Not questioning you at all, but the club generally have no idea when it comes to squad building and have shown little regard for the fans (IMO). As you say, I hope they realise they need to act quickly with the right profile of player.

Last time Danny boy had a large sale (Elvis), he bought S Club 7 (I tease!), so hopefully he has learned this time round. If Muani won't come, then give the Kane money to Juve for Vlahovic and Chiesa.

My opinion over the last few days was that Kane would be leaving. My opinion hasn't changed and I've still heard absolutely nothing on the situation. What I have now been told (and it's not groundbreaking), is that if/when Kane leaves, we are extremely interested in Muani.
Muani is a very exciting proposition but I’d be amazed if we payed the €95 mil they supposedly want for him. He also has teams like PSG and Utd sniffing around so it won’t be easy. At least we are aiming high tho.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Prof on COYS re Kane:

"Despite playing on the tour, respecting Ange, appreciating our fans, working hard in training, etc, following a candid conversation with DL the expectation within the Kane camp is that he will not be a Spurs player by the time the window closes."

it's all very confusing right now.

I've just had a conversation with an agent(close to the club) who 100% believes this is already agreed in principle between Spurs and Bayern, and it's about lining up ducks now before it happens.

On the other hand another guy I trust believes Bayern still aren't close, but we are already lining up possible replacements just in case, according to him we have been for a while just in case. He also said Ange is OK with it, as long as we get one of the three we've sounded out(names are all out there). He believes it's 50/50.

My personal opinion is I want him to stay and build around him, but at the same time if he definitely isn't going to sign a new deal as far as a full rebuild is concerned, he has to go now.

Personally think with the way Ange sets us up and intends to play that we'll score plenty of goals this season, even without Kane. I get that we'll need a replacement of sorts, but really hope it doesn't distract us from getting the 2 x CB's that we've needed for a number of years.

Why don't you offer the club some advise on squad building?

Absolutely futile building a system around a player, no matter what his credentials and influence are, if he's ultimately not committed to the cause and this scenario delaying the inevitable for another year whereby we will require another system rebuild.

We've wasted the best years of his career here by failure of the board to give the resources multiple managers have demanded - I cannot blame Kane for seeking pastures new and with a new manager with a radically different system and fresh impetus, there is no better time for the plaster to be torn off and commence the full and necessary rebuild this summer.

The King is dead, long live the King!

Thanks for the info but i have little faith in Levy spending the majority of cash on a player close or similar ability.
If this doesn't kick Levy into gear nothing will.

As I said in the Kane thread yesterday, I have come to terms with it and think we will benefit in the long run.

What annoys me though, is if he is going why is he playing in the tour? Everyone and their mum know he is off so why try and hide it. All we are doing is getting him fit and firing for someone else.

I would rather we give the guy who is actually going to be starting come the first game of the season the minutes.
Why weaken your negotiating position by not playing him.

Tough ITK to accept but probably expected. Thanks for sharing

Well it's good to have it confirmed (semi confirmed) anyway and if we do get in one of the names mentioned that would be one hell of a statement of intent. I guess we could consider the fee the difference between Kane's fee and what we pay which wouldn't seem so bad.
Onward and upward.

I worry that if we get 100m, then ALL our remaining transfers will need to come from that fee, knowing Levy we're holding off on any other signings to see what we can squeeze out of the Kane fund and avoid as much net spending as possible. Again, this makes everything very last minute and messes with the build-up to the new season like usual. Anything we recoup from Kane should be seen as additional and has to be spuffed on a worldie.

Didnt the German journalist said “I know what’s coming in the next few days” , maybe it has all been agreed in principle
