If you showed this thread to random collection of non SC Spurs fans without A&C's opening post, I guarantee that none of them would be able to tell you the title of this thread...

My guess would be 'The Daily Avoid Doing Your Job & Nightly Avoid Talking To The Mrs Random Spurs And Non Spurs Twitter Thread'.

I guess ITK is easier to write though! :)

Does Jasper mean two potential signings on top of Holtby?

I wondered about this too. But since technically Holtby has already been announced as a signing, I assumed he meant two signings as well as Holtby.

Here's hoping. I'm hoping Sissoko is signed up on a Bosman too, then a striker would complete our window nicely.

Rumours of Callejon(?) on loan, wing cover.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Robbie Keane's training stint may yet be turned into a short term loan, just for the duration of Adebayor's ACN campaign, if we don't manage to secure anyone else.

Regarding strikers, it sounds as though Aubemeyang has resurfaced on our radar, though also Newcastle's too, now Remy is not going. But realistically, I'm expecting a late last ditch attempt for Llorente, who has still not committed to anyone officially, or Negredo since Sevilla need to sell. Failing either of those two, guess at the guy from Mainz as backup.

I also wouldn't rule out a last day shot at Sneijder if he hasn't gone elsewhere by then, if neither Holtby is bought forward or Sissoko is chased up.

Once again, I'm not expecting Moutinho or Damaio.

I've been looking at pictures of Kelly Brook. I'm still no closer to shagging her.

Yes, But like Levy, you offered Kelly a down payment followed by giving her more performance related incentives spread over 5 years......She don't like that sort of commitment.

I offered her a large package all in one go and she nearly bit my coc.......sorry, hand off!

doesn't 30 pages result in a signing?

No, 100 pages in a player thread means a signing. The Hazard thread doesn't count as he said he wanted to join at one point which led to 60 pages of people having spontaneous explosions in their underwear and sharing the stories.

Lots of people suggesting we need to buy a new player because Sandro might be out for several months, but its pretty rare to find that happens - unless we need one long term.

Holtby started off as a defensive mid before being moved forward, if I were Levy I'd have tihought that his versatility was a real asset before I bought him.....and this may be a time to use him in that way. I'd also be thinking about Livermore - and also Luongo in the development squad.

Just depends onn the thinking of the midfield squad - Bale, Lennon, Sigudssoin, Parker, Sandro (may be out injured for a couple of months), Dembele, Sigurdsson, Huddlestone (so that's 8 players) - with Dempsey also available to play there as well as youngsters Townsend, Falque, Carroll, Luongo, Mason et al.

With those numbers of midfielders - Spurs are more likely to bring forward Holtby than buy. If we sell Huddlestone we might bring in another midfielder but otherwise not so sure we would ?

We go through phases. Once we had a team of right backs, then we hoarded goalies. Now we have a veritable bounty of midfielders. Strikers, not so much.

I fail to see why the Sandro injury would mean a panic buy. We have Parker as the ideal replacement already. Holtby isn't anything like Sandro, so his coming would be more dependent on either Moutinho definitely not (and I don't think this is much of an influence either), shifting one or two of our existing deadwood, and/or simply Levy being able bend Schalke over to make it happen sooner.

Sissoko is in no way, shape or form a Sandro type. Forget that idea. Capoue isn't the same, but he'd be a more viable stand in as he plays a similar (deeper, defensive) role.

Yup.. I think Sissoko if sign will be on bosman. Sandro plays like Makelele..... so very hard to find a replacement.
I certainly would like Holtby to come in early to link up play and provide some creativity into the final half. We can always play Livermore or Hudd as long as we can we push the play higher up the pitch with more creativity. This will prevent those disastrous late goals....

Levy sign someone now....:bored:

http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ne-to-train-with-Tottenham-for-next-two-weeks

Tottenham have confirmed that Robbie Keane will train with the Premier League club for the next two weeks.
Keane enjoyed two spells at White Hart Lane totalling eight years before moving to the Los Angeles Galaxy two years ago.
The Republic of Ireland striker will train at Spurs' Enfield base to maintain his fitness ahead of the start of the MLS season in March.
Keane spent the last American off-season on loan at Aston Villa, but even though Spurs are down to only one striker with Emmanuel Adebayor at the African Nations Cup, manager Andre Villas-Boas is not thought to want to sign the 32-year-old on a temporary basis.
Keane himself ruled out a loan move back to England two weeks ago, admitting he needed a rest following a tiring 2012 with the Galaxy and the Republic of Ireland.
"It's been a long season, with the Euros and what have you. I've a few little niggles that need to be sorted out so I don't think at this moment in time it would be right for me to go anywhere," he told Sky Sports.
