Tim wasn't even sacked on Monday, the news broke at midday on Tuesday that he was given the boot.

I agree with the majority of this, but FDB has stated he wouldn't want to manage a club like Barca.....

Thats a fair point....but he doesn't want to go to Barca now doesn't mean he won't consider it later. I have had the impression that he would consider going to Barca in a few years when Messi, Iniesta, Xavi are all gone simply because at that point it is no longer a case of FdB managing a team that was "Built by Pep" or had the best players in a generation. I think he would want to go in with a situation where any success could be directly attributed to his efforts.

Where we finish In league??? - we have joke clubs like west ham and new castle beating us let alone all top sides ..... We were feared by alot of teams with Harry in charge and now gone back to a laughing stock ... City lost to Villa, Cardiff and Sunderland; Chelsea lost to Palace, Newcastle, Villa, Sunderland and Stoke; Arsenal to Villa and Stoke; Everton to Sunderland and Palace; United to the Baggies, Newcastle, Stoke and Sunderland. It's annoying to lose to clubs in the bottom half of the table, especially when it's the Spammers, but it happens to every top club. Hadn't you noticed?

We finished on 69 points. We've only bettered that twice since the league went to 38 games a season. We hoped to improve on last season, so it's slightly disappointing, but hardly a 'joke', so spare us the hysterics, will you?

As it happens, I think Baldini's got questions to answer over two or three of our signings, and it's not at all unreasonable to ask—with the benefit of hindsight—whether we got the best bang for our buck, but seven duds? Get real.

Not for nothing, but Barca has about a 2-3 year window before they look a lot different. Thats when a guy like de Boer would want to go in - catch the rising tide, not the falling tide.
