Thought someone posted on SC that a lower league club came into money and is looking to poach one of our academy coaches and invest in the club to take it to the top tier. Maybe this is it? Or was it a League 2 club?...

Someone else asked me the same question yesterday. It's not Southend and yes it's a League 2 Club.

Great sentiment but I think the numbers are WAY off.

We have 25K registered users, but the real number of how many people we have visiting regularly is more in the 1-2K range.

If we could get 200 people to set up a recurring £2 a month then I'd be ecstatic as that'd come close to covering our costs but at the minute there's only a small handful of people who regularly donate and recently more are cancelling than creating a subsciption (understandable with Xmas, etc).

£2 a month set up.

That's some fairly sarcastic rating there Cliff.

Didn't mean it like that, mate.

you seem far less concerned than me about this saga, and i respect that view even if i can't agree with it. You choose to interpret our head coachs statements more positively.

Not securing a competitor for kane has already contributed to one early cup exit which given we had a home draw and the opponent certainly left a sour taste in my mouth. Another home draw could well prove to have counted for nothing, I'm not confident tonight without kane up top. The italians lie in wait for a kane less spurs next month.

I think we are too predictable and there must be someone out there who our committee can agree on, but to my astonishment they appear unwilling or unable to get someone good over the line and are content to extend the incumbent risks of such a policy.

Dier and toby have also tailed off in the past month and the common denominator is they knackered too. Its just sooo bleedin obvious.

I assumed it was Orient, who sacked Ian Hendon the other day.

Posh has already said he likes his attackers to be able to play in multiple positions allowing for a fluid attack.
SB will start plenty of games, maybe not up top, but he will play the wide forward role a lot... and when Harry needs a rest he will play up front (e.g. europe, cup games etc)... he will get plenty of action
Do you think he's effectively replacing Townsend then in terms of challenging Lamela, Chadli, Eriksen, Heung-Min Son, Alli and N'jie for a spot behind the Harry Kane? That's tough.

Question for @Rob . Was thinking about how great it is that so many have set up monthly donations over the last couple of days, and made single donations etc.

Seeing as most of the lurkers obviously come to the ITK/Transfer sections , is there no way you could set the site up so people can't access those parts of the site unless they've made at least one donation?

Wouldn't have to be much, heck a quid would do, it'd soon add up, and every little helps, no? Just a random thought (y)

Off for the night now, so I'm not ignoring you if you respond (y)
