Not had a chance to browse all the comments since Hercs latest update on Richarlison but I can’t stress highly enough how much i dislike his demeanour and on pitch style and want him as far away from our squad as possible (Rich not Herc, we all love Herc  )

GOLDEN RULE WITH THE MEDIA?

Do not read into the agendas fed to the media by their club and players! Spence we ? are in advanced talks. They know this! Gibson getting extremely greedy. Everton being very, very unrealistic.

The whole media thing you need to treat with caution!!!

Lolz. You can understand people getting a bit carried away as we could have four signings sorted mid-June. It’s unprecedented in recent times - and whilst it’s not the end of our business that doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve credit to be given where it is due.
One hundred percent spot on.

Our DOF is doing his job, and free transfers are obviously less complicated, because fundamentally it's a three way conversation with player and agent, and Paratici and not a selling club.

Give Paratici, Levy and Conte credit where it's due we have made some wise choices so far, and at the end of the day it's better to get the players who want to come and improve both their bank balance and the club.

In the past i don't think the club have done the latter in all cases.

I seem to remember reading on here a while back that news outlets rarely have their fingers close to the pulse for very many teams - a reporter like Ali Gold obviously has a lot of people at Spurs, but won't know much about what's going on at Brentford or Chelsea or wherever. So any reporting in the media has to be judged on how reliable they have been for that club/player/agent - their story could come straight from a primary source, or they could be skimming it from a forum like this one, and by the time it makes print/screen it's already been around the houses a few times and things have changed. And that's even assuming that it comes from a reporter who's got good contacts somewhere in the deal, rather than just some staff writer cobbling together a handful of rumours for the sake of a 'new' story if there's nothing to actually report.

And, as well, the media can be used to further the agendas of various interests - look at the way Pogba's agent used the press to keep his client visible in the market almost from the day he returned to Man Utd, for example.

That’s 2 new LWB links in a couple days, maybe we do want another one
Wondering otherwise if looking at playing them left centre back?

Might be an option in their thinking, covers two positions then.

Does annoy me the massive over inflation of English players - he’s had one good loan season and pretty sure only year left on his contract, so ridiculous if massive fees being asked for.

Its not good for the national team either tbh as stops playing moving on.

Apologies if this has been covered already , this was on Sky Sports yesterday , any ideas who ?

"Extensive homework is being carried out on player ability and character. Spurs recently rejected the chance to sign one talented Premier League player because their research highlighted concerns he could be a disruptive influence."

PS The link to the Sky Sports story...

I also thought he was Jota like. Maybe we are bigclubbing it after all.

COYS. I’m gonna watch the Arsenal highlights again. Pumped.

An exceptional talent, quick, two footed and good in the air. If we can get him then i wouldn't worry about the fee, and at just twenty five a player for now and the future.

PL experience and at the end of the day what do fans expect when we have Kane and Son?
