The news is flying in today chaps!

Got please no, absolutely hate this guy ? spends every match rolling around on the floor.

That being said he’s a fairly decent player and could cover all front 3 positions, but he’d have to cut out the diving and play acting and rolling on the floor otherwise absolute no from me

It doesn't matter if we like him or not, if Conte and Co do then it's all good. What this does tell me is that finally we're acting like a big club.

You’d be loving it when he’s rolling around on the floor giving Conte a cheeky wink after he’s gotten Ben White a second yellow in the NLD.

He’s a quality player, that’s for sure. Just unsure where he fits in.

Unless we have doubts about Sessegnon’s long term fitness?

Or we’re looking to shift Doherty and Emerson and play Perisic at RWB.
I agree.

Just hypothesizing why we're looking to sign another LWB.

Conte likes having 2 players for every position - so it seems odd having 3.
May be Conte sees Perisic as Bergwyns replacement and will cover for son. It give us options

Maybe any fee outstanding for Dele makes Richarlison less of an outlay?

From what we were told about the structure of the Dele deal, there is no outstanding fee.

I guess we could always agree to waive potential future fees for Dele but that wouldn’t likely eat into Richarlison’s price tag much.

I don't doubt his effort, I didn't mention that. I hate that he spends 50% of the game on the ground and is a bit of a shithouse. I have also said I think he could be brilliant under Conte.

This is my view as well. In truth I have no problem with 'shithousery' but not when it involves the degree of play-acting that it seems to with Richarlison. There's shithousing in being a dick towards the opposition like Romero and Lamela and there's shithousing in pretending you're injured on the ground all the time. That being said if we really are close to signing him I can see the positives in having someone like him who does work hard and who can cover both Son and Kane especially when they need to be rotated. Could mean we kill 2 birds with one stone in that respect.

At the end of the day it's like someone said on here a short while ago, you can't say you're happy for us to give Conte who he asks for and then think otherwise when he wants a player you don't like. And this definitely isn't aimed at you Hotspur88 in case you thought it was but it's just what I have to tell myself in this instance to be honest.

Just Wondering where we would’ve finished if conte (edit) had us for the whole season? I’m sure there is a table or stat that would show performance since Conte’s arrival against the big four?

I tend to agree maybe wishful thinking but I do believe we are going to assemble the squad to compete with the top four and I think we’re showing that we can do that already based on this year‘s performance. With extra additions and the players that the manager wants and being backed by the chairman and the club I think we have a real chance. I’m not saying we will win it but we will definitely compete with the top four is how I feel.

Since Conte arrived last November, Spurs had the 3rd most points, 3rd highest scorers and 3rd best defence in the final 5-6 months of the season.

based on our results and points won post Conte the league is not so far out of our reach.
Agree with you on this. Based on our transfer targets and business so far. We have to be positive. A full conte Season and squad knowing his methods has to be worth an extra 10-15 points. Add in 2 new FBs who actually contribute few more goals and assists and options off the bench with eriksen back up striker etc etc could easily be worth another 10 points. All of a sudden you have made up 20-25 points. Our problem last season was breaking down the lesser sides. Players like Eriksen perisic and an attacking RWB can be difference makers. Just hope the rest of our rumoured business gets done.

? this. This summers links and ITK all showing that we have an actual transfer plan we are trying to execute on asap is the first real time it seems that behind the scenes we are finally acting like a big club. Makes a big difference having a World class Manager who knows exactly the ingredients needed to build a winning squad and we have a world class Director of Football who will support the manager, has experience of building and maintaining Juventus back into a super club and he now has the budget at Spurs to take big strides forwards in our level.

Very exciting times, soak it all in.

?

Personally not heard anything on this but there is plenty I don't hear so could well be true.

Hate his attitude and how he carries himself on the pitch (falling over 500 times) but I would be interested to see what Conte could do with him and it was rumoured a few weeks back that he was a big fan.

Honestly his attitude is spot on. I think how he performed in the run in this year showed that.

Whose to say that the Dele deal wasn't part of this all along?
Everton are in a really shit position- they got Dele earlier and then 6 months later we sign Richarlison for an agreed fee. It seems like a long shot- who knows?

He’d score goals for us. Simple as that.
He’d also be horrible for other teams to play against.
Would be lethal with Contes coaching and playing alongside Kane/Son/Kulu.

Get the bocker in, I say.

Makes total sense player type wise.

It always made more sense for us to go for a player who plays wide or central over a fixed ST.

Fee is pretty hefty though.
Can’t see how it’s likely to be less. Proven in the prem, scores goals and cost Everton £40m.
