Exactly what a "big" club would do but we're more interested in cosplaying it rather than actually doing it. I get that getting shot of these players is difficult and Levy hates the very idea of "losing" a transfer but a club actually determined to set out on a new path would just get the ins done and then deal with the outs afterwards, in whatever form that may take.

They've finally brought in a manager we've all fallen in love with and they're kneecapping him before the season is even up and running. It's infuriatingly shortsighted, which is why the ITK is even more depressing because it finally felt like we were at the "rip it up and start again" stage.
Again, there isn't any "big" clubs actually doing this

Even City get less than they aim for. Every club does. I can't fathom why year after year the expectation is that we fix the squad in its entirety during any given active window or it's been a failure and the club is incompetent. It takes years to build a winning squad in literally every case scenario in the history of the football. And not only that, but to expect it of Daniel Levy and Tottenham Hotspur.

By that logic you’re saying the squad can never be fixed.

We’re already 5 years into the ‘painful rebuild’, how long are you going to give it?

We haven’t won a trophy since 2008, I’m pretty sure it shouldn’t take 15 years to build a winning squad.

Something drastic and revolutionary needs to occur. We have the financial capacity to get the players in to complete the squad. Worry about the outgoings afterwards. They can’t be allowed to hold the club back.

Fwiw squads are never fixed are they, but the current problem is we don't have enough strength at CB or CF and only Porro (who I like offensively) as comp for too many touches Kulu.

Our CF and best CB are both injury prone, if either or Maddison are out for any length of time it's easy to see our Levy-driven tumble down the table will continue.

The time to fill in the gaps in the squad with the Kane money is NOW, not fkin around waiting for someone to offer another 2m for a lump of deadwood.

And leave threads like the Martinez one dead- you must be joking, with this bloke in charge

  • At some stage A&C will go through and delete a bunch of posts and remove people's access.
  • Those people will then PM me (not A&C, obviously!) and ask if there's been a "mistake" or a "bug" as they can't post in here and they've never broken the rules...
  • It happens every single fucking week and I'm done warning people.
Thanks for the nerdy ITK Rob 😁👍

Except we spend years making our squad worse and not building a winning squad.

I hadn't looked into it but it seems he can't have been concussed otherwise it's minimum 19 days: https://www.thefa.com/-/media/files/pdf/my-football/the-fa-concussion-guidelines-2019.ashx

We haven't spent years making it worse.

We have just done hardly anything significant to improve our squad. Daniel has been happy to set European football (top 4 if possible) be our goal., so that the revenue keeps rolling in.

The consequence of which has been a slow stagnation, which accelerated last season and culminated with Harry wanting out.

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post but the Tapisoba thread is closed.
Leverkusen have signed Stanisic from Bayern on loan he is a defender that plays all along the back.
Is this a pre-curser to Leverkusen selling Tapisoba or Hincapie?

From COYS (Prof). I know some of you love a cryptic!

For those who like such things, a cryptic from Galahad:

"Hefty bid made for Saulsson Manorsdad."

Never heard of him.

Where's PeterS when you need him?

Non-cryptic from another source: "Still plugging away to strengthen the CB position. Aim is to get in one more; possibly two if we can shift Sanchez or Dier."

And one more: "Would like both a winger and a striker, however the former is considered a higher priority. Although we continue to work on it, our top target on the winger list looks like he's going elsewhere. #2 has a release clause above our ceiling valuation. So we're moving forward with options #1 and #3 in parallel. All of them Ange-approved."
