One good thing about FDB is that he seems so professional and quite interested in building things it seems, which is what we need.

But we have to see if a lot of that is because of his ties to Ajax. Not that he would be unprofessional for us, it's just he will be so quickly linked with Barca if we do well it's a bit scary.

I suspect he will be linked with Barca this summer anyway.....

Would be very interesting if we've decided to go with FdB rather than Pochettino considering the latter already has experience of managing in the Premier League.

De Boer's record at Ajax is good though, and he seems to have an eye for talent based on the players he seems to unearth every time he's forced to sell a top player (normally to us).

If he's our man then so be it...I'll be happy with that.

But he HAS HAS HAS HAS HAS HAS HAS HAS HAS to be given at least two seasons by both the management and the fans before we start booing/sacking him.

If De Boer feels like he needs to bring a couple of experienced players in like VDV and Sneijder to rally the troops I guess that would be ok.

Another positive for FDB is that while AVB didn't work out, the reasoning behind him and that type of manager wasn't necessarily the wrong direction.

FDB could end up being what we wanted from AVB, which would be perfect. But obviously he still comes with risks and unknowns.

Would he bring Bergkamp with him? Hmmmm

Bergkamp and isn't Overmars involved in some capacity?

Would be interesting to see what the knuckle-draggers who have a go at Sherwood for being a gooner would make of that.

I think Bergkamp is being groomed to be the next Ajax manager though.

Give him the job and then give him time. Give him his targets and give him wine

Please, Daniel

Overmars is like their Director of Football I believe...

I wouldn't mind either of them coming here. Don't think they caused any tension back in the day did they?

What's De Boer's contract situation? I always thought Pochettino looked like a good bet as his contract is pretty precarious, so if we've opted for De Boer he must have impressed Levy.

De Boer has been my first choice to take over since we sacked AVB so I'd be delighted if we managed to tempt him here. I would be amazed if we pulled it off though, unless he thinks he needs the experience of managing a club like ours before he is ready for the Barcelona job.

Well, he wouldn't be my choice but we could do a lot worse. I'd get behind him for sure but I fear he would be another AVB.
