Sorry I have to disagree. There are just some of us who are more passionate about the club and those of us like yourself who settle for mediocrity it seems. You've no interest in analysing why people are upset, they're just knee jerkers aren't they.
Hilarious. I’ve been one of the most vociferous voices on here calling for improvement but look to the right area for that. You want us to behave like a big club that wants to win things look above Poch.

We still have the same team that struggled last year, we still have many of the same injuries. We made one major signing early and then 2 on deadline day. Is there any reason to expect the weaknesses we had from not spending for years to be fixed in the first 3 games when our only effective signing was injured ? It’s as if people look at the amount spent and think it instantly translates to a different team. Well if all 3 had a full pre-season and were fit maybe that would be a more reasonable expectation but even then it seems super harsh to go all negative on our best manager since Bill Nick after just 3 games. It’s like his ridiculous achievements in 5 years count for nothing.
So for all the players we have and dont have we should expect to lose to Newcastle....

If Ndombele was available last game, we'd have won. And I am sure of that. He was not. His incisive passing is truly a game changer in those types of games. Can we please just get over this and move on?

if you look at past tables:

16/17: 2nd
17/18: 3rd
18/19: 4th

Probably backs up the fact we haven't been at our best
Have we been at our best? No. But we were 90 minutes away from being Champions of Europe last season only to get done by a BS handball early in the game that deflated us.

I'm sorry - but what evidence do you have to prove that you are in any way "more passionate about the club" than any other poster in here?

Can you tell me the exact significance of 15 games ? What does that table look like on a rolling 38 game basis ?

Its a pretty good spread of games that indicates a decline. I suspect that if you look back at premier league history, those teams that start a season with 15 points from 15 games rarely survive, let alone finish in mid table.

We didn't struggle against Villa. We absolutely dominated them from start to finish.

And we dominated Newcastle too. It wasn't effort lacking it was inspiration. That is as much down to Poch's team selection I suppose but not evidence of players "not playing for him".

In that time we've also got results against City and some European giants.

Once we're injury free we can assess. But I can't be the only one perturbed by how easily we are torching a manager who has got us to where we are.

Maybe it's the supporters letting the team down. There was no "12th man" at WHL yesterday. Can't imagine what Lo celso made of it...

I like this post on many levels, not least because I want our club to stand for something more than the rest. Poch has given us an awful lot, and now there is this sense from some of "thanks mate now bugger off"
There is such a bloomin sense of entitlement around some of our fan base - which is all the more pathetic because if there was a transfer window for a fan base we'd be sold to MK Dons and they'd be no "buy back option!"

I remember mediocrity. This isn’t it.

But yet again it's an over reliance on one player it's farcical that we keep doing this.

Of course I'm disappointed in the result. I'd be disappointed to drop points against what is probably the worst team in the league in any season. But that doesn't have any bearing on the fact that we've yet to integrate the new signings who will be incredibly important to this season, that we've got key players like Eriksen, Vertonghen, and (at least arguably) Aurier who are unsettled because the window is open, that Son was playing his first competitive football in three months, and that we were without Ndombele and Dele.

If everyone currently in the squad stays past Sept. 2 and gets fully fit and integrated, this could at least potentially be our best XI:

---------------Lloris-------------
Aurier--Toby--Verts--Rose
------GLC-----Ndombele----
--Son-----Eriksen----Dele--
-------------Kane-------------

Only four of the outfield players in that lineup started the match yesterday for a variety of reasons, and again one of them was Son in his very first action of the season. It was a dreadfully disappointing result but in context it's not the end of the world.
Great post! There's enough context to show that Poch's done an incredible job given the challenges he's had with the squad he's had. He's talked about a painful rebuidling...and finally we have much-needed, key reinforcements. Just 3 games into the season, and yes, we do look horrible, but give him a fucking chance to sort things out, especially when he's finally getting some semblance of the squad he wanted all along.

It's not after 3 games, it's been going on for a year. Bloody hell, it's like people can't even understand the point some of us are making. This has been going on for ages. Did you not notice the poor performances last season and all the defeats?

Do you think our side and squad should be in the relegation zone over the past 15 games? Does that sequence of results indicate to you we are going to be challenging for the CL this season and that we are going in the right direction? We are even below United, and Arsenal and Chelsea are way ahead. You can bury your head in the sand and say it means nothing because the season started 3 games ago, but it's rubbish. Football doesn't work like that, we are seeing a declining trend in the team, apparent for months.

We aren't just struggling at the moment though, we have clearly been struggling for a year! Do you not remember the piss poor performances nearly every single week last season?

It hasn’t been great for a while but the general consensus at the start of last year was that those above Poch let him down with a complete lack of investment and ambition. Most people thought we would stagnate and struggle last year. It was only our ability to cobble a lot of results until February that people forget how stale our squad had become. It’s gonna take a lot longer than three games to fix that especially as a lot of things are still up in the air and the new signings arent really up and running yet. Personally I think we should have done more this summer too.
