How is Lo Celso "clearly not match fit"? I know that Poch has come out with his usual nonsense but GLC is no less fit than any other player at this stage of the season. Ndombele, the same.
How come other clubs manage to integrate new players straight away but we have to wait 6 months?

I really think Pochs intensity is re the need to have players fit for his system. My fear is he might curb the players natural creativity in the process. We lack creativity and micro managing sometimes can kill it

Agreed, I think "painful rebuild" isn't just about players departing. It's also about implementing a tactical/philosophical change.

Thanks and the jury is so far out on Pochs ability to change and adjust.
He made a proactive statement I believe about getting more on the front foot. That was good but if he feels too secure in his, system he may have a hard time adjusting (I don't know)

Nah, I just meant it’s been posted and discussed already. Like most things.

I attribute the rise in the internet fan forum to the decrease in violent street crime.

Let's people vent, without using a half-brick.

I mean, I'm standing here posting this on a London street corner, using a powerful hand held computer and I haven't been robbed yet.

That's the power of Spurscommunity if you ask me (y)

Should you be posting while at work?

I don't think it is the end of the beginning, case in point, Pochettino has been with us for five years so the beginning is already over. I think it is more the beginning of the end, because, nothing is forever, case in point, our great run prior to 2019.

You two got a bet going, thats about the 4th time I have seen that quote.....Case in point @Everlasting Seconds
Nah, @Dougal is just trying to prove to me that he was right. Problem is I can't for the life of me figure out what is thinks he is right about. Case in point, he keeps rehashing random comments from other posters. I can't help but feeling there is a self fulfilling prophecy in there somewhere.

I had to look up who that was and fully expected to be schooled in 20th century history LOL!!

FYI Westmoreland was an experienced and well respected general who fought well, but used an ill-fated strategy and ultimate was ousted when public opinion went against him.

He was the fall guy, yet still maintained his view point until his dying day.

Not sure that he deserves to be let off the hook that easily. He put far too much stock in inaccurate body count metrics rather than analysing the full strategic picture. Was completely caught out by the Tet Offensive and completely underestimated his opponent. If it weren't for the vastly superior firepower at his disposal I think he would have been even more exposed as somewhat out of his depth.

So one player? And a British player that had already played in the Premier League. You can't really compare him to those two. As I said in my post he's a very similar purchase to Tippier, although he's obviously been more successful. Poch has signed far more bargain basement players than Klopp so he's obviously going to have a few failures among the successes - Vic, Toby, Dele, Dier, Trippier, etc.

Alli was not a Poch buy. Pleat recommended him and we were tracking him before Poch arrived.

Probably testing out his memory..........thinks he has got dementia!......................All in good taste!

I was just enjoying the absurdity of a surreal discussion of the Vietnam War in a thread about the future of our manager.

Apologies to everyone else.

Some air-dropped napalm might help us at The Emirates on Saturday though...

Another interesting point about Fergie. He didn't just change playing staff but he'd bring in new assistant coaches every few years to give the team a new voice and new methods. Something Poch may want to consider.
I'm not sure Poch is cut-throat enough to change his coaches, they are his inner circle and confidants.
