Both fullbacks out is a fucker. Let's hope it's just the Wolves match and then there's a couple of weeks until Palace.

Let's get back to the line-up that started the season so well. Werner, Johnson, Bentancur - all great options from the bench to help see out the end of games.

Based on Ange’s press conference Destiny should be back for palace but Pedro will be tight.

also based on the press conference I don’t see Ange changing the CB pairing at all. Referenced how dragusin is used to playing in very different systems and the rest of the year is getting used to ours

For all those pencilling in VDV to left back - just because mickey could play there doesn’t mean he should. With the role our LBs play it would be a completely different job to anything he’s done before and would take his recovery pace out of the backline when defending counters.

He did say Dragusin was ready to play and has been outstanding in training.

I understand it is more likely he slots gentle Ben in there and he'll do quite well. Just saying what another option might be and one I'd be interested in.

I wasn’t picking on you - loads of people have suggested it the past and I’m sure more will on this thread. I don’t see VDV floating around in the 10 role and I don’t think Ange does either

If ange thinks VDV has the capabilities to do this I am sure he will have done it plenty in training and a decision would be made.
I don’t think Ben had the skill set to do this but has done alright in the past.

Give me one good reason why Ange would play his best defender at Left Back ????

That's the thing. I can see the logic, but I don't think it's worth breaking apart a CB partnership that works so well. The one thing that can maintain a teams strength even with players out is keeping the spine of it intact, and with that in mind I wouldn't break up that CB partnership.

Maybe midway through a match, but Ange hasn't really been the type to make any bit drastic changes to suit the opposition, and when you think about that, I'd be surprised if he makes such a change due to just one of their players. What if he plays VDV there and Wolves just decide to switch him to the left where he can also play?

yep, why change 2 positions in the team when we don’t need too. Davies and Emerson are more than adequate replacements

Think Romero could play as an inverted FB quite successfully.

Keep it simple. Emerson and Davies step in, they are good players and have played there before for Ange.
