I think it’s disrespectful to the club with the things that he has been saying before the season is over. There was no need to have that interview with Gary Neville, it’s obvious that it wouldn’t go down well with the fans. If it was NDombele or Aurier or even Lamela doing an interview like that then Mason would have said it was “inappropriate” and dropped them.

Yep. If we have to play in that competition next season, then i’d rather give it to the u23s and let the first team(and coaches) focus on the league and domestic cups.

We won't though.
Our new manager will lead the team, and waste his time "planning" for games against the 12th placed side in the hungarian league.
We will also have several first teamers travelling. Preparing for PL games will be somewhat interrupted due to coaches and players travelling, even if we don't take it seriously.
