Much better performance today, only downside was the injury to Aurier. Hopefully, he's not out for too long. Think we'll see Jose put out a strong team for this game as he wants to win all the cup competitions that we're in and also try and keep the momentum going for the city game this weekend.

Hugo
Doherty - Rodon - Dier - Davies
PEH - Ndombele
Stevie - Lamela - Son
Kane

Subs: Lucas, Winks, Hart, Vinicius, Bale, Sissoko, Tanganga, Devine, Sanchez

Some concerns are whether Lamela will be fit enough to start another game so soon and with all the minutes Davies is getting, we're bound to see another drop off in his performances.

Are we hoping Dele will be back for this one, or is it still a few more games? Wouldn't start him, but option from the bench.

I can see Hart starting, but I hope I'm wrong.

Lloris
Doherty Dier Rodon Tanganga
Hojbjerg Ndombele
Moura Lamela Son
Kane

Tanganga to give Davies a break, and we have limited options... Plenty of opportunity to take Ndombele, Son, Hojbjerg, Lamela and Kane off with the extra subs if we can.

Back three to support Doherty’s game style:

Lloris
Rodon Dier Tanganga
Doherty Hojbjerg Alli Davies
Bale Vinicius Bergwijn

Came in to offer my two cents but this is exactly team I think we’ll see:

Would like to see some consistent team selection especially in defence.
Would play the same team as today Doherty in for Aurier if he is injured

Why rotate CBs? I’d stick with Sanchez and Toby.

Same line up, maybe Doherty in for Serge if he is injured.

We definitley need to build on anything we can get now.
Maybe its the resurrection of Lamela and Moura.

Toby doesn't seem to have the legs to play back to back games in a short time and Rodon deserves minutes as he's showing promise as one of our better defenders.

You ain't gonna do much at Goodison with a midfield of Sissoko - Dele - Winks. We should probably go pretty strong on Wednesday and if that means that we are weaker at the Etihad on Saturday so be it, it's not very likely that we are gonna get something out of that one anyway, maybe a point if we are very lucky. I would concentrate on Everton away, obviously Wolfsberger 2 times for the EL, West Ham away, Burnley at home and Palace at home in the upcoming weeks, all winnable matches.

Bale and Vinnie should start this game instead of Kane and Son imo.
We will need them legs to be rested for all the longballs we will play against City on saturday ?

Where’s this idea that Tanganga is a left back come from?
Seen it posted in several of these lineup threads

The guy didn’t exactly set the world alight at rb a few weeks ago.
Playing him out of position at lb is hardly going to do him any favours.
In a back three, at Cb or at rb at a push I think he can do a solid job and keep developing.
