Can't believe a second striker wasnt our first purchase, we knew about this potential congested fixture list ages ago, and still haven't strengthened the 1 position we have no depth

4-5-1 and try hit them on the break to nick a goal with the pace of Moura, Gedson and Sess, with Lamela and Tanguy providing a bit of creativity, liked the way they linked up together on Sunday in their cameos.

TBH. I haven't been this ambivalent in years. That Newcastle horror show took the excitement out of me over the weekend.

Klopp throws these cup competitions every year to focus on the bigger prizes. They win them though, that’s the difference. A big ask but if we lost the league cup this week but eventually won the EL then we’d call it a good decision. Similarly the other way round.

I'd go for Alli as a false 9 and play 433.

Hart

Aurier
Alderweireld
Tanganga (if fit, if not then Foyth)
Davies (I'd save Reguilon for the Europa League, simply because that should be an easier game to build up fitness)

Sissoko
Winks
N'Dombele

Lamela
Alli
Sess

Bookies have use at 7/2 outsiders tonight, I know we will be playing a 2nd XI side but that's a big price considering we are the home team.

We are 1/7 on Thurs.

Shame Tanganga isn’t fit as would have loved to see him given a run out in this game.

It's a gutting situation but whatever happens we can't afford to go out of the Europa so if all our eggs are in that basket then so be it. Shame it had to be Chelsea.
