Time to go back three and wing backs to make the best of the fresher players we have available.

Regardless of the injury to son we would be so downbeat on this if we had another cf. that’s the only area of concern for me- everywhere else we have enough cover to play the two midweek matches and be competitive in both

At this point I would start Lamela ahead of Berg in the Utd game, unless he ups his game massively mid week. Aside from that I agree.

Jose likes to win this trophy. In fact he likes to win any trophy so if he does not take this seriously then he might as well not be at Spurs after all that was the reason for employing him. We should have won easily today but the finishing was as poor as it had been clinical last week. At least we were not outplayed so O remain positive about Tuesday

Think we have to be realistic. The schedule has gone against us and while I’m sure Jose will tell the players out there to be professional and play with the usual London-derby passion, the truth is that the selection will have one eye firmly on Thursday.

Unfortunate that it’s such a tough fixture but that European group stage position is vital to us.

Understand anybody picking weak squads is doing it as they are afraid of injuries. However I think we need to build on the performance today.

Aurier, Toby, Sergio, Sissoko, Ndombele, Lamela, Stevie & Dele can be brought in but there is no way we put a youth team out and just fold.

Lloris, Sanchez, PEH, can stay in giving us the flowing.

Lloris
Aurier
Toby
Sanchez
Sergio
PEH
Sissoko
Ndombele
Stevie
Lamela
Dele

Lo Celso, Lucas and Kane on the bench if needed.

Crazy to play again Tuesday night, but then again Thursday!

One of these games needs to played with full rotation.
And really need a striker signed tomorrow morning

Given the importance of the Europa and the shit show scheduling we'll surely throw this game. Shame but Europa and League priorities surely.

It’s tough for Jose. If we throw Tuesday and then mess up Thursday then the season is top 4 qualification and the FA cup and it will only be the 1st October.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a strong team v Chelsea

Agree, think there will be a lot of people unhappy with the squad on Tuesday either way. Personally hope we put out a decent side. We should be good enough to win on Thursday and I think momentum is going to be key.

I worry a poor result against Chelsea will have a bad knock on effect on Thursday and Sunday.
