Team vs Brighton (FA Cup)

Safe to say, that our business is done for the window. What kind of team do you all want to see this Saturday? I've gone a little unorthodox with Lucas at RWB but @Timberwolf shared this setup in the Bentancur thread ( with Bentancur replacing Winks ) and it looked really balanced to me. Bentancur does have international duty on Tuesday with Uruguay and I can't see him being risked with such little prep for this game.

Went 3412 because Kulusevski's composure and ability to switch the direction of play seemed more suited to No.10 than to wing play. Then, if we finally have someone other than Kane who can be relied upon to see, and choose the best option in the build up, we can push Kane forward as Conte wants. Moura at RWB is our only opportunity to improve our weakest position.

True but Conte has used both 3-4-3 and 3-5-2, and Kulusevski fits both formations. Indeed he would enable you to fluidly shift between the two during the course of a match. I don't think it will be a problem fitting him in.

On this point, I'm really looking forward to the game to see if it is a 433 or 352. I wonder if Conte will settle on one formation or adjust depending on the game.

The signings and outs all suggest to me Conte is settling on 3-4-3. You don’t leave yourself with only 4 CMs if your plan is to mostly start with 3-5-2. But good to have both options anyway.

I agree, but I wouldn't rule out a 352 at times.

Kulusevski and Bergwijn can cover Kane and the wider positions.
