I'd like to see the Hudd continuing his run in the squad, Jenas hardly did anything against the mancs and I'd also love to see Defoe to get 30 mins or so, but that depends whether he's in the squad or not.

So I'll go with:

Gomes

Corluka----Woody----King----BAE

Lennon----Hudd----Palacios----Modric

Keano---Pav

Bench: Cudicini, Hutton, Bale, Zokora, Jenas, Bentley, Defoe

If King's not fit then put Corluka to CB and replace him with Hutton.

Team picks itself. If we are serious about winning then Jenas ahead of Hudd - however it doesn't make much diff.

JJ did a fair bit against the Mancs - but was hampered by a ridiculous yellow from webb - then in the second half was overwhelmed like all our team by the man u assault on our players, the rule book, the ref, and our goal

I think the only change will be JD for Bent, possibly hutton for corluka as I read somewhere that King may not play - which is always likely of course

if hutton does play, I hope he realises that if pav's not there the crosses have to be tailored to ground height :)

It's funny, but until about 2-3 months ago, I always looked forward to this thread and reading people's opinions...

Then they got really boring...thanks 'Arry!!

I know it's a good thing and regular first 11 is something we haven't had for ages really, but I kind of miss all the guess-work a little bit.

I'll get over it though.

Well it looks like King may not play. I'm not too sure about Corluka in CB buts thats only going by the last time he played there. I see some of you got Dawson on the bench but thats not happping he's injured

Ledley King will probably miss tomorrow's clash with West Brom at home after playing at Manchester United last week but the injury-plagued Spurs captain has set his sights on representing England at next year's World Cup.
He said: "My priority is always Spurs but with the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign going so well, there is a real opportunity to do something great on the international stage again."

I'm not sure where in that article King says he probably won't play tomorrow, but you know the press, they're all wankers.

anyway, I'll give the article the benefit of the doubt and assume King is out tomorrow:

...............Gomes
Hutton Corluka Woody Ekotto
Lennon Jenas Wilson Modric
...........Defoe Keane

Cudicini, Dawson, Zokora, Huddlestone, Bentley, Bale, Pavlyuchenko

It could a continued quote from Harry

Redknapp said: "It has been tough for David. He has worked hard but Aaron Lennon has been in terrific form.
"David wants to play. He is a terrific talent but Aaron and Luka Modric have been in superb form."

but like you said the press are (insert your word) so we just got to wait on the official site to comment on team news

Albion played a 4-5-1 last week, but with no great ball winner, they try and play a lot of football. Against sunderland, a similar team, Hudd did a good job at CB, I would imagine our back 4 wont be tested much, and with only one striker, we really only need one CB, especially with Wilson in the middle. That's why I would play...

Gomes
Corluka Hudd Woody BAE
Lennon Jenas Palacios Modric
Pav Keane

WBA aren't the sort of side to stifle another side, they love playing football, and fair play to 'em, but if anyone has mastered that style it's us. We need to get the ball down and attack them from the first minute.

wba did try and in fact succeeded in stifling us at the Hawthorns

they played an allardyce-style physical game and free flowing football was in short supply from both sides

I expect them to play a similar phyisical, nigling, harrassing style tomorrow

if they do I hope the crowd don't let them get away with it

but if the sun is out and the crowd quietly dozing - they may well do so

I still expect us to win, but I expect an attritional low scoring game

hope I'm wrong and we win a goal fest - don't see it tho

The press don't have a clue whether LK is playing tomorrow, they just used that to segue into the next segment of cack, which is why the bit about LK being injured is not "quoted". As HR has always said they wont know until the last knockings as usually happens....

Does anyone watch Charlie Brooker's Newswipe (formerly Screenwipe)? It's on BBC iplayer and for a very entertaining expose on how shit the media is follow this link...

That's what I'd really like to see actually.

I really want to see both Keane and Pav as a partnership and Palacios paired with a holding ballplayer.

I think though we'll see:

Gomes

Corluka----Woody----King----BAE

Lennon----Jenas----Palacios----Modric

Keano----Pav

Bench: Cudicini, Hutton, Bale, Zokora, Bentley, Defoe

If King doesn't play and with Dawson injured the back four picks itself: -

Hutton - Woodgate - Corluka - BAE

Midfield picks itself: -

Lennon - Jenas - Palacios - Modric

How about Pav & Defoe up front?

This is easy!

Gomes

Corluka Woodgate King Assou-Ekotto

Lennon Palacios Jenas Modric

Keane (c) Defoe

Subs: Cudicini, Hutton, Bale, Huddlestone, Bentley, Pavlyuchenko, Campbell

Plan would be to bring on Pavlyuchenko for the last 20 mins or so depending on how the front 2 are doing.

Also bring on Bentley as he deserves some pitch time, Luka tends to fade in the last quarter of the game IMO.

If we're really comfortable heading into the last quarter, bring on Huddlestone or Hutton and give them some minutes.

CORLUKA WOODY KING EKOTTO
LENNON PALACIOS HUDDLESTONE MODRIC
KEANE DEFOE

that team should spank WBA with the creativity and power in the middle
picked hudd in cm as he has the ability to pick out the 2 small frontmen with his superior passing ability , we need to play the ball on the ground and he is the perfect player to make the killer pass.

come on you spurs !!!!
