I'd be tempted to put Lamela in there for Lucas. Doherty likes to get in the box and Lo Celso and Lamela down that side could provide a few chances with quick passing. That of course is dependant on Lamela remembering there are 9 other outfield players for him to pass to.

Be very surprised if Bale and Reguilon are involved. I reckon they may be part of the league cup squad while we use same squad as today next Thursday. You could perhaps split it like below to give us good chance of progress in both competitions, pick the fittest players to fly to Europa game as subs from league cup squad.

Not exactly the team I want to see but I think Ndombele isn't ready to start yet. An hour next week seems more logical so I'll give Winks another opportunity. I'd like to see Lo Celso in the forward 4 however taking up the pockets of space, I'd hope this allows Dele to player closer to Kane which we were struggling with when we didn't have a creative player in that front 4. Alternatively I wouldn't mind Lo Celso in CM with Lamela in there but I am keen to see Winks given another opportunity just to get a better picture of what he can bring this season. Finally I'm gonna rest Son and give Bergwijn the chance from the start and see how Kane and him do together.

I will concede I prefer the look of some your 11s but I've explained my choices.
