I'd hate us to get bought by a rich family like Chelsea and City and just have tons of money pumped into us. It would completely destroy the excitement of the club and get rid of the feeling of true achievement like winning the league cup in 2008 or the glorious champions league run in 2011. If we had a one billion pound squad all of that would be lost. We would be like Man City or Chelsea where winning the league title or progressing through the Champions League is viewed more as a relief than an achievement. Do not want!

I don't care about a new owner for the money, fudge, I'd prefer if the fans bought the stinking thing. What I'd enjoy about a new owner is the possibility for more blind passion. I'm actually not having a go at Levy here, my preferred set up would be fans ownership with Levy in his present role. To bring some passion back throughout the club at every level, we'd start with the ownership, right?

The good thing about this prospective sale is that Joe Lewis has put the word out himself he is prepared to finally sell up. There was a falling out between Lewis and Levy earlier in the year that while it was not terminal it left Levy in no doubt that he is very much the junior partner at Tottenham Hotspur. It is Lewis and his people who will deal directly with any suitors not Levy. Lewis wants rid. Levy knows this but he would like any deal to see him still stay as chairman. Spurs will be sold. If not to this lot someone else very soon.

Instead of being bought out by a billionaire and somewhat loosing our soul, my dream is for those other clubs to be brought back to the real world, loose their ability to throw money around like its confetti, and have to compete on a somewhat level playing field with the rest of the league.

Unfortunately mate those runs are harder and harder to do, so imo we can at least say we got this far on our own

not me ......... been supporting Spurs way way too long to be worried about this type of thing.
Tbh it all gets lost in the midst of time, no one in the future is going to look at the record books and say Citeh only won this that and the other because they had billionaire owners. I just want to see us win things regularly anyhow soon mega rich owners will be the norm anyway not the exception

I don't care what other people think of us, or if others call us a plastic oil club or whatever. I just don't want it to become standard when we win a trophy or do something worthwhile. City are such a husk of a club right now. Their manager is expected to win the league title or Champions League every season. Last season there wasn't any massive celebrations when they won a double, this sesaon it was more a sigh of relief than a shout of excitement when they beat Roma to make it out of the Champions League group stages. I don't want us to become like that. Atheltico Madrid showed last season that you don't need to splash money around to achieve something great. That was a very, very special season for their fans because they saw their team work hard and defy the odds and in the end won the league title and were 1 minute away from being Champions of Europe.

ITK or opinion?
Probably ITK- he's the guy who has got team news before it's announced on several occasions. On the other hand, his 'ITK' about Ade's recent absence seems to have been way off the mark.
