Here we see Edinburgh fringe performance artists, The Carlyle Group, explain in three and a half minutes what their namesakes are all about:
Figures are completely different between two articles.
It would appear that the mirror forgot to change their $ to £, or they are just being dramatic.Figures are completely different between two articles.

Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I can tell you first hand, as I work for a company that was bought by the Carlyle Group nearly two years ago, if they can do for Spurs what they have done for us in the last 2yrs - I am well and truly 100% in!!!
Very smart people!!
It's the perfect time to get out IMO,
Well, cheers for the info, going to do my own research to see if there's any evidence of foul play before I make assumptions. Just sounds the the typical spoutings of a David Icke or an Alex Jones TBH.
I think the vast majority of things people cast at them are in fact the ramblings of Jones/Icke.....i don't think the are responsible for the Malaysian Airlines flight missing for example.
But i can see why people would have an issue with a group that invested in companies like United Defence (which i think they sold to BAE) and Booz Allen Hamilton and has had a couple instances of bribery and kickbacks being set against them including paying out something like $25m in a settlement with the state of New York.

This thread will reach god knows how many pages of posts filled with hope and poo-pooing of that hope. Don't do it to yourselves
Why not?How long until @davidmatzdorf destroys the article and says this won't happen?
No one can use the "they need to get publicity" argument this time.
Are you referring to the second point? Why not?
According to a 2011 ranking called the PEI 300 based on capital raised over the last five years, Carlyle was ranked as the third largest private equity firm in the world.[3] Carlyle had been ranked first in the 2007 listing.[4]
Well quite a few on here didn't know who they were so that's helped their publicity. Are you referring to the second point?
If so, it's because:

They are huge. I didn't think Cain Hoy needed publicity but I could understand the argument. I don't think the Carlyle Group need to try harder to get their name out
They don't care if a few Spurs fans know who they are. They don't need it. They are one of the biggest groups in the world. Why on earth would they give a shit about publicity they don't need?Well quite a few on here didn't know who they were so that's helped their publicity.
Well that's two decent sized newspapers who have reported it which quite a lot people read, not just Spurs fans. Also on twitter and on the internet so more people there than you would think. They don't care if a few Spurs fans know who they are. They don't need it. Would you expect a company like Apple or Samsung to do that? Because they are probably in the Top 3 of technology companies.Well that's two decent sized newspapers who have reported it which quite a lot people read, not just Spurs fans. Not saying they are doing it for publicity, but can't exactly rule it out. Wouldn't be worth the effort if just for publicity but crazier things have happened in life.
And the Mirror.Seems like an advertorial as oppose to an article. Wonder what links this consortium has with the Standard.
