I know everyone has probably watched this stunning video already of our great club but it means even more when you think of how low we are at the moment as supporters. I also know this might sound a bit OTT considering we are 6th and not exactly relegation candidates but I have never felt so disconnected as a spurs supporter as I am at this moment in time. I am 28 years old and have seen some shit down the years but never have I seen a spurs side that seem so gutless and unable to give there all to the cause in my whole supporting life.

This particular video not only gives me goosebumps but gets me emotional especially the part towards the end where it shows us getting CL football at Mancity and beating AC Milan at the San Siro. Thinking of how close we were to something special to where we are now sickens me. Looking at that video of legends like Klinsmann, Ginola and even VDV who busted a gut for the shirt and to now at players like Vertonghen who can't wait to get out and Paulinho who can't even be fucked to celebrate a goal from the bench.

Those special memories will always be there ( Carling cup final win v chels, Spurs 3-1 inter Milan at the lane, Spurs 5-1 Arsenal carling cup semi, That night in the San Siro) and so much more and even looking at that stunning Modric goal against Liverpool where in the last 5 years Liverpool were our whipping boys but how things have changed :( I hope to see our Spurs back next season but until then watch this video and tell me as a die hard spurs supporter you don't get all emotional, COYS!!!

After seeing that, I couldn't help thinking Levy needs to buy AvB a 2m car as a gift to say sorry. Eat some humble pie like Abramovich.

makes me so sad when i see this mess the whole season. This year we lost nearly everything. The Pride, the flair, the goals, the defending (can't remember we had it once wo King but heyho) etc.

Next appointment better should suceed or we are on our way back to the middle of the league

Blimey that's hard to watch towards the end. What a team we had in that Champion's League season. One top class striker short of league title challengers. If only we'd had Ade and Soldado up front then, though Crouch and Pav did alright to be fair.

One thing it does show is how much respect AVB had for the club when he joined, and the comments from Harry in a similar vein - it would be nice to see our next manager, whoever it is, also acknowledge the size of the club, the history, the traditions, and perhaps to start talking about us like a big club again. It would be nice to hear, and it would do the club and the players good to start talking and acting like an elite club again, after the shambles of this season and the last few years of selling our best players. It's what Fergie did when he joined United - immediately started referring to them as the biggest club in the world, and it built a mentality up throughout the club in his time there. Would be nice to have a similar pride.

One thing I've always regretted is that Bill passed away before that CL qualifying and subsequent season in it - would've been so good for him to have been able to see his beloved Spurs back among the world's elite and challenging towards the top of the league again, after he'd had to watch us languish in mid-table for so many of his twilight years.

Great video. Get the next appointment right and hopefully in a year or two we'll be enjoying the sequel to the giants awakening dog days are over video.

Ps I still miss rafa - I say bring him back even if just for 20 minute cameos. We need a fans favourite at the club badly, someone to bring the personality and excitement we currently so badly lack.

You know what quote in that video gets me " They terrorise teams at white hart lane" and we bloody well did. Teams were scared to come to WHL as they knew they would barely have the ball because of our ferocious approach. I have not felt that way about Spurs since Harry left.

That is an eye opener, makes me sad to see how far we have slipped this season, we need a few years of positive signings and rebuilding to get back to that level again.

I also watched this recently:

What fantastic football we played that year. High-scoring, fast-paced, easy on the eye.

What happened to us? We've taken 10 steps backwards in such a short amount of time.

Reminds of the time Martin Jol became full time manager. He spoke about us a mighty force, it felt that he was almost embarrassed by the opportunity to manage us. But it was never an embarrassment. He talked about us in such glowing terms that it made us all glow in a unified love.

Romantic, probably. But it's a far cry from the poisonous twonk at the helm who has all the terrible qualities Harry had and none of the redeeming ones or the ability to manage.

We sold our best players and brought in stopgaps.

Delayed in the transfer windows and ended up with so many "what ifs"

Actually hurts how good we could have been and how far we've fallen in terms of our performances and results.... sigh

AVB :(

Don't think he was up to the job but he always cared about the club and the supporters. He was a great fit for us. I think we've lost our identity a little since he has gone.

Real shame it didn't work out after all the promise of his first season.

Billy nick to me when I was a boy in the sixties was like a god like figure at the club and when I saw that video it reminded me why I love Tottenham hotspur. 50 + and that white shirt still gives me goose bumps

I remember a lot of poor, poor games under Harry mate. Really poor, clueless football.

We have really not fallen as far as people make out.

Our results aren't that much worse and while our performances feel consistently shite this season, under Harry i saw nearly as bad as i have this year.

Granted there were times when we played incredibly, but we had a group of players capable of producing that kind of football.

We have neither replaced VDV, Modric or Bale and pretty much have a handful of players left from that era that none of us really feel a connection to as we did those i just mentioned.

Perhaps thats why so many felt such a strong draw towards Lamela, the great new hope!

I'm not a lover of Harry, the dude annoyed me and I wasn't against him going. But I don't think we got spanked as many times as well have this season and people were actually taking us seriously. I still partly blame him for thinking it was acceptable to go into a season where we had cl football with a frontline of Defoe, Pav and Crouch. That summer was our biggest mistake on not capitalising on our growing reputation and current standing. Instead we purchased only Sandro and a last minute deal for VdV.

I mean who was analysing our strikeforce? Doesn't take a genius to look at their stats from the past few seasons. Where was the planning and thought at the beginning of that summer to say "we need at least one and maybe 2 strikers to complete this squad, here are our targets and we have all summer to try and get them" the likes of Suárez, Lukaku, Benteke would have all been available for the right price. Instead we probably spent all summer trying to sign Leandro then just gave up and got VdV.

I can't disagree with what you have said mate, we had an opportunity 2 years in a row to start building for the future around the players that we had.

Do you remember the semi final loss to Chelsea? the 5-1 to city? the 4-2 to bolton? the 5-2 to Arsenal.

the 4-0 to fulham in the cup?

Not getting out of a europa group consisting of Shamrock Rovers, Rubin Kazan and PAOK?
