I can't really say its delusional to be honest. Pompey are 6th, could still get 5th place, and are in the FA Cup final, and odds on favourites to win it.

Of course on the south coast they will claim they are a better side than us, and based on this season they have been.

Anyone remember Arse doing the same thing to get Kenny Samson many years ago?
He went from QPR to C. Palace then to Arse without playing for Palace (I think) because QPR wouldn't sell to Arse.
Our very own Clive Allen was also involved, if I remember.

I thought that was in a season rather then a year. Plus did he ever actually appear for Arsenal?

He certainly played a couple of league cup games, and I think several league appearances, mostly from the bench.

Slightly off topic, but did Flamini ever sign a new deal at Arsenal. It would just be lovely to see them lose the two best young DM's in France in one season.

He hasn't signed yet, although Wenger has been making noises about everything being on track and a 5 year deal being offered to him (discussions going well etc, maybe just good PR)

Did Wenger ever sign a new contract himself? I thought he signed a 3 year deal before christmas but my dad said heard on talk sport that this was not the case?!

Thats from July to June. Thats why Daniel Cousin couldn't sign for Fulham in January because he played for Lens and Glasgow Rangers
