we need to find better loans for our youngsters, like Skipp at Norwich, Walker at Villa, Rose at Sunderland. hope Devine and Phillips would be successful with Plymouth

Definitely been a mixed bag on the loans this season. Although we judge just the playing time I still think there is value in being around a first team week in week out.

I think this is a good point. One part of the transition is adapting to the physicality and pace of adult football (for those exiting youth set-ups), the other is getting used to the off-field stuff. Suddenly playing in front of large crowds, people rating you on fans forums or being critical (or worse) on social media, doing media interviews after the game, and just being in a different dynamic in dressing rooms.

Even when the performances on the pitch might not be setting the world alight there's still value in what you could call a 'hardening up' process. Things don't always progress in a straight line.

The type of football you're playing matters a lot though. Given a less demanding role in midfield and Skipp could be excellent but Ange demands a ridiculous amount from his no.4's and we've seen that Skippy just can't do it. He likes to keep it nice and simple and he likes to offload the ball as soon as he's under any pressure. That's a really bad fit for Ange's style of football. Its a similar situation with Ben Davies and Emerson. They're not bad fullbacks at all, they're just suited to a totally different way of playing. If Skipp goes, and I don't think he will, it will be because he's not an Ange 4 and he's not an Ange 8. He looks a lot crapper than he is trying to play those roles. Give him a simple holding job and he'll look good again but he'll need to leave to get that opportunity.
The one thing that everyone keeps forgetting is that Ange doesn't want like for like replacements. He wants variety, flexibility and the ability to switch a ball playing 6 (or 4 as you've referred to it) with a ball winning 6. He brought in Johnson because he's different to Deki, Werner is different to Son and Solomon. Dragusin is different to Romero and VDV. So to say Skipp isn't an Ange 6 (or 4) fails to recognise Ange may want to play a different type of player in that role.
If you're playing against a low block what use is that to have a player who's skill set is more catered to breaking the press when he's not being pressed. He might decide a simple recycler is more suited to get the ball forward faster.

Reports in Germany that Rio Bromfield , our under 16, has decided to move to Germany in the summer. Signing for Borussia Moenchengladbach. Believe he qualifies to play for Germany.

Disspointing this.

We're not doing very well with keeping our LWB prospects after Cirkin and Meghoma.

LB is probably our weakest pipeline of talent in the youth ranks now.

I'd really like to see us go big on one or two 15-18 year old prospects to compensate.

Also important we lock down Adewole, Hardy, Byfield, Williams-Barnett, Nicolaou etc asap.
