How many loans can we make to a team? Wondering if might send someone else to Plymouth

I wouldn't think they'd want to fill up with too many loans.
Wasn't it Forest who got promoted with a team made of loads of loan players, then lost them all and had to rebuild most of the team?
(Although granted, their board went mental and got completely carried away with signings).

EFL regulations stipulate that a club may sign no more than four players on loan from the same club, with a maximum of two being over the age of 23.

Championship clubs can sign and register more than five loan players but they are only allowed to name a maximum of five in any matchday squad.

Not sure if previously posted but there is a really interesting two day old Podcast on Last Word On Spurs regarding our youth players, our loans etc. I haven’t finished listening yet but I thought I would share. In it Ricky Sacks talks to his guest John Wenham who was really knowledgable on all matters relating to the youth set up.

Listened to it the other day and as always whenever @Lilywhite Rose is on a podcast talking about our academy, it's always interesting and insightful.

Love seeing how we have acted bringing Devine back to test him higher up, shows a real care and attention to our young players!

can’t help but feel a little for Port Vale though as they really honoured their end of the deal (unlike Ipswich with Dane)

would love to see PV rewarded somehow, maybe if 1 or 2 of Donley, Dorrington, Santiago, JSB or Lankshear looking to be sent on loan, could be a destination!

I do think there is a nice aspect to 2 players joining the same club on loan together, Alfie and Ashley will hopefully settle in well at Plymouth having each other there.

Agreed - I think it would be great to offer them another of our academy prospects in return for the opportunity they gave Alfie.

Reportedly Port Vale are close to a loan move for Dan Gore from United effectively as Alfie’s replacement, so not sure they’d be interested anyways

what do you mean "honoured their end of the deal?"
