Not every loan will be like Skippy at Norwich.

They may or not may not "smash it", but it will help them mature, realise how lucky they are to be at Spurs and hopefully fuel that desire to succeed. I think Parrot, Scarlett etc will all have learnt more about themselves and the men's game than if they'd just been training around our first team but still playing youth football.
Sometimes and quite often it’s purely just playing in a more physical competition rather than performances, depending on potential/development too, so sometimes holds no bearing

Spurzino mate. What are your thoughtful insights regarding RC? As I would be biased.
Hard to say, I haven't seen a lot of him since covid, which is why I haven't really offered an opinion. His technique is not in question and he's got good balance and mobility which are all indicators of realisable potential. I've not anything about him being a problem or not working hard so that's all positive. My questions would all be regarding how well he's integrated his talent into a team setting. How does he read the game, what his composure like under pressure, does he make the right decisions at the right times? These are all questions I don't know the answer to.

Okay pal, it’s a standard national apprenticeship wage for the majority, potentially an extra few quid for some, so standard scholarship rate is around the 680 quid a month, goes up in year 2 and then again in year three if offered.

mon top of that is appearance, win and goal bonus too.

my lad, for u18, he’ll get a minimal 10 quid per appearance and 10 quid per win.

for u21, 650 an appearance and another bit of money per point won.

mid he gets in first team squad, it’s around 1200 for squad, then another grand per point won in that game.

cups slightly different.

so in reality, he could potentially earn 5k if he makes first team and they win.. for one game, but long way to go for him, especially after finding girls and clubs this summer 🤷🏻‍♂️
@Bowlesinho how comes you disagree pal?

I’m telling you what’s in my sons contract 🤷🏻‍♂️

I would not of had the patience to art the way you have, but i agree. My slight concern is, he is same age as Mikey Moore, turning 16 later this year. And I have not seen him involved in same/similar age group. So diff to assess. But my bias wants him to be on par with MM at least. But that is my bias.

My bias, to just put it out there, is that I'm always a bit sceptical of kids who come to my attention for skills. Having elite skills is not a bad thing, at all, but I always think of the skills lad as an individual, someone who has trained a lot on their own. Putting it all together with your ten teammates and against 11 opposition players is very different. Mikey Moore came to my attention because of his productivity (not just end-product, although he has plenty of that) but just making things happen. He plays football. You know he's already got the basics of the game in his head. He knows where he needs to be, where he needs to go and how to get there. This could all be a moot point, and Ramell could be a super creative 10 but I've not seen enough of him to know where he's at with that. But there you go. That's my tuppence worth.

What happened?
I don’t know what actually happened but Kuwait player racially abused Ireland player who was on the bench, Ireland were 3-0 up and the game was called off.

Also about an hour before New Zealand vs Qatar was also called off because of the same reason. Qatar were the culprits.

Bloody hell, that's shocking and I hope the punishments are proper.
Although with the money they wave about, I'm sure it'll amount to fuck all.
They've got to start kicking these countries out if they behave like that.

Fully believe Devine will prove himself in pre-season and be given the chance to play decent minutes this season. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if his emergence allows us to sell a midfielder like PEH, who doesn’t fit Ange’s system, without a replacement coming in.
Devine seems a good fit for the 8 role as a Maddison understudy.

I'd be happy with the below:

Bentancur
Bissouma
Sarr
Skipp
Maddison
Devine

I know Bentancur has injury issues but considering we're not in Europe I think we'll be fine with those midfielders competing for 3 spots, especially because Sarr and Bissouma could switch between 8 and 6 roles. I think you could also play Kulusevski in the midfield.

IMO we would need another 8. Personally, I don't think Skipp or Bissouma can play the 8 role, and that leaves us with Maddison (not the best injury record), Sarr and Devine until Bentancur is back in November (10 to 13 league games) and it will take further games to get match sharpness. Playing Kulusevski in CM means we have just Son and Gil for the wings and I would want to see Maddison and Kulusevski in CM together too often.

Porro could play the right wing position if Kulu played more central. Depending on how Ange sets up. That guy from Celtic looks decent that we were linked with. Granted it’s only transfer talk and he’s only playing in Scotland. But he looks like he’s got it. Not sure we need to be spending serious money in that position when the cb situation is a massive issue. 👍 imo 👍

Not convinced Porro can play RW in the PL, but agree that CB situation is the priority. Another option is to just not get rid of PEH.
