Anyone managed to get a pass for WBA game. Thought today was the 5 day marker. Got through at 9.50 AM ( lines opened 9.30 ) all tickets gone.
Same thing happened to me mate but 9.37am. Ticket office person sounded like they had no idea about the game.

Tbh lady I spoke to seemed to know what she was talking about. Unless they went on sale on Friday or Saturday. Maybe lots of family members are going. Disappointing still not been back to Hotspur way since Covid.

Postiga doesn’t count as he didn’t come through our youth system and neither did Wright-Phillips.

How about:

Vejlkovic?

Could be a long list. Most players who are offered professional contracts are genuine prospects. Then a lot comes down to application, attitude, physical development, injuries and sheer chance.

Tanganga is a good example. Everyone - including him - thought it wasn’t going to happen. Then a freak series of injuries see him get an outing against Barcelona in preseason and he puts Christiano Ronaldo in his pocket.

That’s why I am not so sure about the all the eggs in one basket approach of recent years, focusing opportunities on a few outstanding prospects like Parrott or Scarlett. I’ve seen too many fall by the wayside. Everyone thought Phil Ifil was nailed on. He was last heard of playing in the Watford Sunday League.

Does seem unbelievable hard to predict how these kids will turn out. Really thought Sancho was gonna be a world beater but that’s looking very unlikely right now. Devine is worrying me a bit was completely convinced he was the real deal now I’m really not sure.

Don't want to derail the thread, but just quickly (if you don't mind).

As I've admitted many times on here, when it comes to football, if it isn't Tottenham I'm not interested & don't watch.

So, what's the deal with him? I've read all of the the previous reports in the press about how amazing he was in Germany. I saw how much United wanted him, and then how much they were happy to spend to get him.

So why the fuck isn't he playing?

Because united need to buy all the shiny, popular things.
Like how your ex used to spend a fortune on fucking shoes that she'd never wear.
****s, the lot of them!

Oh yeah, and Ronaldo.

But is the kid actually any good? Is it a PL acclimatisation thing? No specialist position? Not up to the hype? Just needs regular/consistent football? Bad attitude?

There must be a reason he's not playing?

I dunno, I mean, he's looked pretty good from the little I've seen but he needs to be playing and with the glut of options united have up front, he's just not getting the chance.
They've got Greenwood, Rashford, Ronaldo, Martial, Cavani and him, all competing for now 2 positions pretty much.
Ragnarok seems to want to play a 4-2-2-2, which just doesn't give enough chances for all of their forwards to get any time to find any rhythm.

Sancho looked brilliant in a well coached team but looks lost at the moment. He is basically a German player coming to a new league as he never played in the prem before.
A lot of payers from the Bundesliga seem to struggle.
Mikitayrian was a complete flop at Utd after being German footballer of the year the prev season. No better at arsenal.
Kagawa at Utd many years ago. Went back to Germany after a couple of seasons.
Nabi Keita at Liverpool. 50m never justified it. Never been first pick.
Kai Havertz and Timo Werner at Chelsea. Rudiger has done well but he was bought from Serie A.
2 obvious successes are our own Sonny and De Bruyne.
Don’t think the overall standard in Germany is that great apart from Bayern and to a lesser extent Dortmund.
The other clubs don’t do a lot in European competition. German coaches seem to be all out attacking . Will be interesting if Haaland arrives in the PL next season. Might not be as good as he looks. Thiago has done ok for Liverpool but he was in the Spanish league before Germany.
No doubt ther have been other fails and successes but can’t think of any at the moment..
Yes I can...Pulisic was in Bundesliga from 17...hasn’t done himself justice either

Don’t you think this 4-2-2-2 is a load of crap. When you watch them play it’s just 4-4-2

I'll be honest, I now think Ragnarok is a load of shite and there was a stage I wanted him to come to us.
I know nothing about football outside of the Prem! ?

I saw Sancho at youth level and imo thought he had a much higher ceiling than Foden. The first time I started to doubt things was when he continued to not really perform for England. I really don’t know what’s happened to him maybe to much to soon, maybe confidence. Really no idea.

I'm still baffled bud. I thought he was one of those uber-attacking WBs/wide players.

Genuinely interested in finding out about the kid. Happy to carry on this conversation elsewhere if there's such a thread to do so?

Yeah we definitely need to take this chat elsewhere. That's a young lad who really has looked like a player, in my opinion.

Muir is a unit for 19 definitely physically looks ready. Barely really mentioned wonder if he could do a Tanganga and come from out the blue. Although Tanganga was highly rated couple years before he broke through and England youth. Don’t think Muir has ever been involved with England.
