I saw Sancho at youth level and imo thought he had a much higher ceiling than Foden. The first time I started to doubt things was when he continued to not really perform for England. I really don’t know what’s happened to him maybe to much to soon, maybe confidence. Really no idea.
England under 17 World Cup winners had Sancho and Hudson Odoi as wide players with Foden centre mid. Foden was player of the tournament. Other 2 looked fantastic prospects. So what has happened to them......who knows..these things happen. Doesn’t help being showered with money ,
Solanke was top scorer when we won under 20 World Cup. Say no more.
Sacrilege to say it but Saka looks like he might turn out better than any of them.

Marques Muir and Dermi Lusala training with the 1st team today

With Cessay and Omole picking up reds last night both should at least be in line for a start with the U23s.

His caption leads me to believe that we'll likely see more red cards in his future......

I've always been a bit skeptical about Sancho tbh. I know, I know everyone raves about him but you have to bare in mind that the German league is not very good. Look at how many players from that league come over and struggle. You can rack up immense numbers over there if you're halfway decent.

Don't want to derail the thread, but just quickly (if you don't mind).

As I've admitted many times on here, when it comes to football, if it isn't Tottenham I'm not interested & don't watch.

So, what's the deal with him? I've read all of the the previous reports in the press about how amazing he was in Germany. I saw how much United wanted him, and then how much they were happy to spend to get him.

So why the fuck isn't he playing?

Because united need to buy all the shiny, popular things.
Like how your ex used to spend a fortune on fucking shoes that she'd never wear.
****s, the lot of them!

Oh yeah, and Ronaldo.

Sancho looked brilliant in a well coached team but looks lost at the moment. He is basically a German player coming to a new league as he never played in the prem before.
A lot of payers from the Bundesliga seem to struggle.
Mikitayrian was a complete flop at Utd after being German footballer of the year the prev season. No better at arsenal.
Kagawa at Utd many years ago. Went back to Germany after a couple of seasons.
Nabi Keita at Liverpool. 50m never justified it. Never been first pick.
Kai Havertz and Timo Werner at Chelsea. Rudiger has done well but he was bought from Serie A.
2 obvious successes are our own Sonny and De Bruyne.
Don’t think the overall standard in Germany is that great apart from Bayern and to a lesser extent Dortmund.
The other clubs don’t do a lot in European competition. German coaches seem to be all out attacking . Will be interesting if Haaland arrives in the PL next season. Might not be as good as he looks. Thiago has done ok for Liverpool but he was in the Spanish league before Germany.
No doubt ther have been other fails and successes but can’t think of any at the moment..
Yes I can...Pulisic was in Bundesliga from 17...hasn’t done himself justice either
Gents, you couldn't take all that chat over here could you: https://spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?threads/lets-all-laugh-at-united.111077/

Sancho, how he's developed, and how he's getting on at United has literally nothing to do with this thread.

Alright mate, we just got a bit sidetracked, it happens. I think you'll notice that Coopsie even said as much, so we don't really need you jumping in because of a couple of comments.
If it had taken over a couple of pages, then fair do's, have a word but for a couple of posts, chill Winston.

I'm chilled. Things get off topic, I know. Discussions on England youth, how we've let top talents go, how Maduke is getting on - I can understand. But Jadon Sancho? He has no connection with Spurs at all, other than we once had the pipe dream that we would be able to sign him. Was just hoping to nip it in the bud before it mushroomed into those few pages you referenced. (y)

Hudson - odoi drop off was definitely the major injury he had. Took a couple of yards off him and his game was very much about pace.

Fair enough mate, no hard feelings.
Just after so many of the threads seem to go astray, this felt like a minor indiscretion.

Scarlett posted a cryptic message apparently on Instagram
That's not a "cryptic message", its a pretty typical instagram post.

Between this and the exit sign someone saw in a post recently that they thought was "cryptic", the conspiracies and reading-between-the-lines are getting a bit ridiculous

He had no problem with others talking about Wright-Phillips on the previous page for equally as many posts.

As you said in on one your responses. If it had been pages of information topic spamming, fair enough.

But it was one question that had 2 or 3 answers. And even the original question was posted with an apology.

With Gollini not looking up to scratch do we think Austin or Whiteman would be up to playing as a back up/cup keeper next season with Lloris as undisputed No1?

I think the club will have one as the third choice keeper and bring in a new second choice keeper who might already/very soon be good enough to allow Lloris to leave (such as a keeper like Johnstone or Onana who are both available on freebies this summer).

I really hope not, reminds me so much of Gomes and all the crazy bad moments he used to bring with him.
