Pretty concerning that it’s deadline day and we still haven’t loaned out Bowden who was recalled from successful League 2 loan for “move-up”. Then there’s Harvey White, Brooklyn Lyons-Foster, Marcel Lavinier, Tobi Omole, and Malachi Fagan-Walcott as a few examples of players who would all probably benefit from a loan.

Reo Griffiths has joined doncaster on a permanent. Wonder if thats about his level
Far too big for his boots. I likes him as a player and thought he could have been something but he thought he was better than he was. He's been playing in France's fourth division for the past three years. He's had trials over here at various clubs and only Donnie have taken the plunge who are in real trouble.

As an aside my hobby horse, Nya Kirby, turns 22 today and has still yet to make a single league appearance for Crystal Palace. He showed us a lot of disrespect and I can't pretend I don't feel a tiny bit of Schadenfreude at how his development has just flatlined.

Any good technicians coming through the youth ranks; think we really lack this?
Just someone with a silky touch and a great dribble. Arsenal always seem to ave lots of these.

TOB and Nya used to get lots of praise as midfield duo in under 18’s a few years ago . Both were in the under 17 World Cup winning team. TOB started most games , Nya on the bench.
TOB cannot get a game for a Stoke and Nya cannot get a game..full stop.
Others on that bench were Emil Smith-Rowe and Connor Gallagher.
Sancho..CHO and Foden in the team.
Shows how players go on different paths. That was a hell of a strong squad when you look at the standard of those five players.
Rhian Brewster ended up at Sheffield Utd.
TJ Eyoma now at Lincoln.

Does loans end tonight?
I always thought the loan window for lower leagued teams stayed open a bit longer.

Nile John has a low center of gravity and great on the half turn. He needs imo work on his close control but I have high hopes for him. Especially in Conte's system which would suit him greatly. Really hope he has a great time at charlton.

I really hope we sort out a system for really good loans for our U23s. We have stunted too many. The next thing is to offer a path into the first team surroundings. Now given that we have let GLC, Dele and Gio leave I would have thought keeping Harvey and perhaps keeping him around the first team would be wise. However if he can go somewhere and play games that would be great for him.
Edwards, Madueke, Binks ........ too much talent and resource we haven't dealt with properly even if that would mean ultimately selling them. We must do better. I do hope Fabio has a plan for this. For me this is crucial as his first team scouting network.

We get a tidy 3.75m from that deal.
Marcus Edwards signs for Sporting for 15m Euros. We get 7.5m from the deal due to 50% sell on when sold to Vitoria.

‎Clube de Alvalade pays Vitória de Guimarães 7.67 million euros for half of the English player's pass, also yielding right-back Bruno Gaspar definitively and winger Geny Catamo‎

Sporting secured the signing of Marcus Edwards on Monday afternoon. The negotiations with Vitória de Guimarães lasted several weeks and resulted in an agreement, it was established that the club of Alvalade will disburse 7.67 million euros for half of the pass, and the minhotos can fit another 500,000 euros depending on the performance of the English winger.‎

‎When he entered the line of the goal of negotiation with Sporting, Vitória had already agreed in the meantime with Tottenham, the club that holds the remaining 50% of edwards' pass, which will be entitled to ten percent of the added value in a future transfer, already as a player of Sporting. The London club also gave up the payment of around 300,000 euros, relating to the solidarity mechanism.‎
struggling to get my head around that tbh but i think we're retaining our 50% stake?
