Does anyone have any MK Dons connections? I ask because I've got the impression from looking around online that Troy Parrott is not pulling up any trees at the moment. I have been a little disappointed over the last 18 months with his development. The worry for me is that he's not developing into a top level finisher or creator. He's betwixt and between and players that are betwixt and between don't make it at the elite level. Its too early to write him off but I definitely feel that he needs to show a little more because at the moment I'm just not seeing it.

From what I’ve seen he started well and all round opinion is he’s “ok “ but currently can’t get in the team. I know Kane had that period but it’s not exactly a glowing reference.

I fear he's another one, like Winks and so many others that injuries have lowered his ceiling and he'll never become top level.

Great move for him imo, too good for u23s and would get valuable experience in the Championship.
Any news or progress with regards to his contract?

Not sure it’s injuries tbh, don’t remember having anything major. Just easy to over hype these kids and we never learn myself included.

i did expect more from parrott but he's still young, he has a lot of quality but maybe not the maturity to go along with it yet. whilst it's true that young players often get overhyped, they also often get written off prematurely if they aren't tearing it up immediately so it works both ways. i don't know if something's going on with him at the moment as he started 12 games in a row, then on the bench for two but then not even in the squad for the last four(one due to internationals). to not even be making the squad looks a bit suspicious to me but hopefully it works itself out whatever's going on.

good to see markanday reportedly attracting interest from championship sides. bournemouth would make sense given the parker links but obviously playing time is the most important factor, along with being in a team that actually likes to play football.

The last 2 games he missed due to covid protocols. The numbers he's putting are really impressive though

Really hope a championship club come in with a loan offer for Dilan in January.

Though it's unlikely, I hold out hope that Markanday and White will be given some opportunities in the 1st team during our run of games in December.

You are probably right, but in my mind anyway ?the injuries he's had have definitely hampered him,
Certainly agree it's easy to overhype young players. Just remember he was scoring goals, looking good, got injured twice I think in quick succession and didn't look so good after that.
But as I say, I happy to admit could easily be wrong on this occasion
And it's not often that I say that ?
