Now we will see if Ange is any good. Aston Villa will be out of sight if we lose to them. So sick of getting let down by Spurs.
You can say 'let down' but with 2 key players out do we have a Devine right to beat Wolves???

I think a lot of those Wolves players get in our team.

Tbh do we even want to be in the CL if we are playing like this? Could end up with some embarrassing score lines.
Best you get used to it. Not going to change the way we play. Ange has said this over and over again.

Utter utter dogshit.. The team has regressed so much from early season.
Thing is with the injuries it's one thing having the names back on the team sheet but it's another entirely having everyone up to speed. Hopefully we can use the next 2 weeks as a mini pre season and get these guys back up to speed but you can see that Maddison and Bentancur, for example, are shadows of their pre injury selves.

So disappointing after how we were playing earlier in the season. I think it’s a combination of tired legs, injuries and the simple fact that teams know how to play against us.

Get amongst us early on, play the ref, disrupt our rhythm with niggly fouls and stoppages. But most importantly of all hit us on the break.
Generally agree but how on earth can most of our players have tired legs. Not in Europe and out of both cups.

The Davies/Royal fullback pairing should never be seen again in this system. Our fullbacks effectively play like CMs, so I’d much rather see a CM slot in than a traditional fullback being asked to take up those positions.

There's going to be games like these where we stuggle to break teams down, but fuck me are we shit defensively. We didn't change a thing from the first game against them, and that's a bigger worry than the result or the performance.

Being without both fullbacks is the obvious excuse but it's not like we're been blowing teams away when they've both been fit. It's starting to get worrying, how regularly these performances are cropping up and we're left hoping for a bit of luck or individual brilliance to score.

If opposition managers come up with "a plan" (sit back, absorb pressure, crowd the middle and play on the counter) that reliably makes us play like this we are bang in trouble. Everyone and their dog knows Ange doesn't have a plan B ("plan B is to do plan A better").

It was actually jarring how big a miss Porro and Udogie were, and like not even just going forwards.

Well below the level required if we want to achieve anything as a team.

One of the most gutless and characterless performances ive seen, no-one willing to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

We have already lost to Wolves so the arrogance set up in the same way is baffling. We could play that game one hundred times and we wouldnt win without changing something.

Everyone else around has won to make it worse. Seaons over now really, what are we playing for? 5th spot and a place in the CL? Whats the point when you cant even beat Wolves at home after a free week?

I would argue we have already changed the way we played from the beginning of the season. At the start we could keep hold of the ball, press well and create chances. Now we don’t do any of that. I’m more than happy to go back to start of the season Spurs I just don’t like this new version.

Porro and Udogie have been struggling there recently, too. We can't continue with what we are doing with just inverting them for the sake of it.

I have a horrible feeling we finish behind Villa and Utd.
We have one point more than Villa in our last five matches, including today, and three points more in the last 10 games in what has felt like a sticky run for us.

Villa have already started to drop off and they'll go all out for ECL which will give them nine more games than us if they reach the final. I'm not saying we will definitely finish above them but people here are throwing in the towel already and fuck that.

United worry me more because they've started grinding out results despite looking shit and won't go away.

Maybe this 2 week reset has come at the right time. I'll reserve judgement until our next game when we should have everyone back

and we had 3 midfielders loitering on the edge of the box, they shoulda been on the end of that
Mate - people see what they want to see - PEH ergo shit cross. I saw what you did, last minute and not one of those players making a run in at the far post.

Working so didn’t see or listen to game. I had a niggly feeling we’d not win today. Wolves pulled it out the bag after their Brentford loss, and we were their victims. Not got energy to read the thread - brief synopsis? Guessing going forward was hampered without Porro & destiny ?
