Our best chance just may be to overwhelm them, really. I think that formation could do that, and let VDV hunt down Neto as much as possible. It’s going to be a really tough match, no matter the setup we go with.

Ange has already ruled out changing the system during his presser. I like the idea of 3-5-2 but I think it would be more effective if Porro and Udogie were fit. I hope Bentancur gets minutes because he is much more likely to create or score than Biss. We need goals and creativity, prior to his injury last term he had 5 or 6 goals and a similar number of assists. He wont get up to speed sitting on the bench. I'm not sure if Biss has a single assist or goal yet. At his best Bentancur is a better user of the ball, with either foot than Sarr or Biss, and he is much more rounded player. It's a nice problem to have, looking a long way back we had no problem playing Ardiles, Hoddle and Villa together. Biss can be used to secure a result, Benta can help us to dominate with the ball. Probably not popular opinion, but its the way I see it.

We’re off next weekend, have lots of big players back from injuries & international comps and I think we’ll be right at it from the kick off.

I’m going 4-1.

Also, as far as I can recall, every time Davies & Royal are called in to the first team, they put in a fantastic performance.

I’m really not sure what everyone’s so concerned about, I’m actually looking forward to seeing them play in their preferred positions.

Decent looking team on paper - both wide players would need to work hard defensively and not sure if Werner does that or if Deki is good enough (weak challenges / stupid fouls?) Emerson and Davies come in today I think.

I think this is a great thing for the club and the fans but they’re are WAY more Koreans at the match today. I assume because of Lunar New Year. It’s great to see people so excited to support the team!
