2 games, both difficult fixtures, 0 conceeded, 6 points. And you think the midfield hasn't provided a defensive platform? ?

And on top of that, you think GLC will provide more of a defensive platform? ?

I like GLC but at the moment it's PEH / Skipp / Dele's spot(s) to lose.

The reason 0 goals were conceded was because City and Wolves struggled to finish in the final third. They both had majority possession. Moutinho and Neves comfortably outplayed our midfield last week (things changed when Moutinho was subbed).

What Lo Celso brings to the table is the ability to carry the ball up the pitch in a way that Skipp and PEH typically don't. I'm happy for one of them to start this match, but why is there a need for both at home in a match where Spurs should be on the front foot? The good news is Nuno tends to be proactive with changing the midfield, so if we start slow, I'm sure he'll make personnel adjustments.

We badly need two midfielders, given that Ndombele isn't going to play, it seems. We can't play Hojbjerg and Skipp every single PL game.

I’m actually scared of Sissoko starting for them ??‍♀️ Can’t believe he’s been thrown in that quickly ?

We say we're happy with that team but let's be honest if we were told we'd be going into the season with that XI we'd have been fuming.

Fingers crossed our midfield actually managed to get a foothold in the game today, but work still to be done in the next few days transfer wise.
