And Sanchez. Can someone tell him to stop trying to get in a physical battle with the striker and actually watch the ball / read the game. He never seems to come off on top when ever it gets physical, he gets so wrapped up in grabbing the player and pushing them and just completely loses focus on the game.

A simple long ball and our CB's no where to be seen. That was such an embarrassing goal, i was hoping this year we were going to make it harder to score against, not the best start.

Everyone saying that Eriksens presence would have made a difference this half don't realize that if the other players are static, it doesn't matter what passes he makes. Kane, Moura and Lamela are ball watching and neither are making the necessary off the ball-movements

I think that would be Lo Celso in that spot in normal circumstances, Sissoko is sticking out because we don't have any creativity at the moment, it's way too congested when we get to their box.

Coco with a typical Coco performance. Does he ever really excel when given his opportunity?

Leaving Verts out of the squad is looking a poor decision as is this desire with the diamond.

KWP has looked good. Sissoko has forgotten his role in the team.

Lamela's issue is he isn't the guy you want to grab the game and push on to win. He's ok if defending a lead or it be isn't expected to do the creating but that's it.

Just need to tweak the formation, and intensity. Players on the pitch are well above villa's level

Sissoko should not be playing in games were the opposition gives up possesion by default. He's good to have when we have to battle in the middle, but doesn't add anything in these types of games.

We currently don't have the personel to make the diamond work. Poor in the middle, Kane and Lucas isolated and no threat in the wide areas.

Sorry no one has been superb. Winks has played some good sideways passes that is all. The whole team look like strangers playing a formation they clearly don't understand. Please go back to 4-5-1. Easy fix.

Slow start which I did not want, showed some glimpses but slowing down as soon as we get neat their box, hesitant from KWP to cross first time, still I think we take this

Winks grew into it for sure, but he is not a DCM positioning wise (where was he for their goal? Answer - about 30M the wrong side of their CAM) and he starts the game so slowly with conservative passing to the CBs and letting opposition defences get set. We need more urgency and Winks needs to set our tempo. Last 15 mins of the first half he was bang on it again, but he started very slowly.
