According to Rose the club look to move players on when they go over 30 which makes no sense because your moving on all the experience it would be nice to see some of our players stay till they retire, JV doesn't look or play old.

Even if we kick players out at 30 do we ever just let their contracts lapse when they clearly have value in our squad and value as saleable assets?

There could be all sorts of reasons why Verts has been left out. Amazingly, they may even be completely unrelated to football. If he doesn't play next week that's the time to start worrying about it.

No we always sell, we don't let players as a general rule leave on frees, as far I can remember but then I could be wrong.

Not sure why everyone is surprised lo Celso isn’t in the squad.. he only came back from pre season last week didn’t he? Reckon we might not see him in the first 11 or on the bench till Newcastle game at earliest.

Maybe Verts is being rested for the City game, who knows. Sanchez and Toby is a very strong CB pairing. Not really sure why there is so much drama about this. It's not as if he has been completely left out whilst Dier, Sanchez etc are not there and we are left starting with Tanganga?

Be great to see Ndombele in his first competitive game. Hope Lamela can start fit for one season.

Hope Eriksen being on the bench is more down to fact he didn’t feature in pre season that much rather than protecting him from injury a head of a move or a reflection on his attitude...
