Good performance. The team really looked fired up for it. If it wasn't for Aurier's stupidness we really would have smashed them.

Call me batshit crazy but I think a 2-1 win with a player sent off is better for the group than a 4-0 romping. Hopefully this is the catalyst to getting back on track mentally.
I’ve just said exactly the same thing,Great minds and all that?

He did well, but he is no RB.
A couple of times he didnt track players running into dangerous positions.
And a bit like Aurier, he looks like he could give away a pen at any time as they both like to dive in.

Did well today as cover, but not a long term answer imo
True, but he did really well today after Aurier went off. I just love the guy!!

Ndombele best player first half
Sissoko lloris best players second half
Kane and Winks consistently good throughout

There's a few who might want to reflect on their reaction to Poch subbing him on for Son. Was the perfect sub in hindsight.

Certainly in hindsight but admittedly even so in real time Lamela coming on was a great move but it still would have been for Eriksen for me, personally and I would have liked to have seen Son stay on the pitch. But it's certainly nothing to argue about as it all worked out in the end so I'm certainly not going to complain!

Poch took too long to make the sub. Our no 28 was knackered after 60min. Obviously He’s not ready to play in a 10-men team in the most physical and competitive league in the world.
Eriksen could stay on the pitch for the entire game was really beyond me.
Winks was outstanding MoM

How stupid is Aurier ? Two ridiculous yellow cards.
So frustrating, because he clearly has ability. I mean as soon as he got the yellow, I was thinking to take him off at half time because I just can't trust him to stay on.

Finally, a needed win. I thought that Aurier's second yellow card was so soft. Ref was inconsistent throughout the game. A blunder by Lloris did not really help, however, he did nake up for it with some great saves. COYS!!!!

That was the Poch mentality, right there.

The game had swung in our favour when Ndombele gave us the lead only for stupidity and a comical lack of concentration resulted in us losing a player and conceding a goal. What a glorious recipe, then, for a clusterfuckery meltdown on the pitch: it could have been a new Chernobyl with a disfigured Poch collapsed on the touch line, melting in the heat of defeat once again. But some quick movement and Kane’s will dragged us into the lead. And we held that lead for 55 minutes, with a man down against a context of fractured belief from our fan base and probably some within the squad.

That was a huge win. It was a much needed win. It shut down the “Getting sacked in the morning” bollocks from the Southampton fans and showed us that this team still has fight and desire. If ever there was a turning point in a season, today feels just like that. I’m sure we’ll lose some more this season but teams in disarray, teams that are fragmenting inevitably around themselves, don’t typically muster the desire shown today

Not at all. I totally agree. Ndombele as well. However until Lamela came on, we were getting battered. He pushed them back.

Even with all those injuries that he had suffered in the last few years, Lamela has come back stronger and hasn’t shown any sign of being afraid of getting into tackles. I give him a lot of credit for that.

For the idiots among us who unreasonably hate on Erik Lamela for no reason, this game should shut you all up.

He's a tough bastard with an elite mentality. He dragged us through that half.

Seriously, anyone must have limited football knowledge to not rate this boy.

He is good offensively and works his nuts off when not got the ball. He should score more but is a very good player.
