Wow just wow

Poetic justice scoring I the 8th and 10th minute of injury time. Those time wasting pricks

The exact reason that the law was provided for.

Result could have been a whole lot different had United set about a different game plan.

Heckingbottom should learn form this, but he won't.

I call it corrupt. But each to their own
When it favours, say, City, as extravagantly as I've seen it do this season, it does look corrupt at this point, some of the decisions have been getting outlandish.

But Sheffield...you have to wonder why that would be happening? Heir of an old steel milling family dishing out brown envelopes? Or if it's betting, there must be less conspicuous markets than forcing a result by inflicting a match long bias in one direction.

Wouldn’t mind a pint in the ground right now!!

Near the beginning of the match the ball went behind for a goal kick - the keeper kicked it out to the sideline. That was the point when I knew it be a timewasting thugball contest.

Who was it that posted that bet with Maddison to have 2 shots on target, Sarr to have 1, Bissouma to have 1 and for us to win, to return £110?

I just have to say, THANK YOU! :D
You’re welcome.

People talking about poor refereeing decisions as some kind of corruption, sound like lunatics. Refs are humans and in high pressure situations they make mistakes. It's nothing more than that

When that 2nd goal went in I think that is the loudest I ever heard it in that stadium and the noise seemed to go on for ages, anyone still want to go back to the Old Lane ?

On the train back from the match. To anyone here who wasn't there, something special is happening. The atmosphere was incredible at the end. Incredible. The stadium was absolutely rocking, and it was only Sheff Utd.

I didn't go to the Man U match, so I hadn't seen this before, but the new trumpet-les rendition of The Spurs Marching In was spine-tingling. Yes, it got tense, but it was never negative towards the team.

Only negative was couple of idiots, throwing the ball from stands stopping us play

But then VAR not picking up the issues?

Fair enough the ref won't see/get everything right, but that's when VAR should step in.

Madison's penalty appeal was dismissed, the stream I was watching said it looked the right call, then seen another angle and changed their mind in seconds to clear foil and penalty.

Just sat down on train from Finsbury Park. Feels like it took an age from the ground to get here but I am still coming down from that high hugging everyone around me. That's for all the time wasting and crap officiating. Delighted for Richy to score, Johnson took his "goal" really well down in front of me and their keeper is a grade A ****.

Buzzing. COYFS. Loved the atmosphere. Best at a 3pm game in a long, long time for me for ones I have been to.

Obviously being at the game I don't know how or if VAR looked at things. Was the Johnson goal a quick look and how far off or close was it? Because it certainly felt like it had have been a clear offside.

Well that was an eventful game!
A few points:
First, hats off to Sheffield United. A brilliant, but not exclusively, defense display until tired legs led to sloppy mistakes in added on time. Robinson especially was excellent. It is also worth noting that it demonstrates that wasting time during the match can be counterproductive if the referee adds on the wasted time at the end when the team is tiring.

As I said earlier todays performance was typical of the sort of performances you see right after the international break. Too many players not 100% on song.

I think 15 yellow cards and 1 red card in a game with no bad tackles or bad blood between the teams demonstrates how extremely poor the refereeing was. He never really had command of the game especially in the second half. Although he, rightly, added 12 minutes on at the end he could and should have clamped down on their time wasting early in the first half. His refusal to give a clear penalty for the foul on Maddison could have been the turning point in the game had we gone on to lose the game especially as Basham could easily received a second yellow had a penalty been rewarded and we had potentially gone ahead.

I was surprised and disappointed that Postecoglou waited so long to make substitutions when, especially as the second half wore on, we were struggling to create any real clear cut chances. As it was when he did make them they had a positive effect.
Scoring the equalizer and assisting for the winner will hopefully have a positive impact on Richarlison. Also although his goal was offside Johnson’s take and finish was very good. I feel he can be a very useful addition to the team.

Although he scored the winner I still feel that Kulusevski’s aversion to using his right foot slows down our forward momentum.

Overall there’s not a much better feeling than turning a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 win in the dying minutes of a game.

Let’s hope we can carry that positive vibe into next week’s visit to the South London Nomads. To often recently we just haven’t turned up when we e gone there.

From BBC

More from Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom: "It was an appalling game the way it was managed. I know Spurs won the football match but I was saying the same thing at 0-0. At half-time I came to see the referee, when we were 1-0 I was saying the same things.

"The referees are dictating to our goalkeeper how we play. You see from minute one we split, Spurs adjust what they do so we have to adjust again. All of a sudden our keeper is booked for handling outside and he's told he's going to get another yellow if he doesn't play the ball.

"But we have to wait and see how Spurs are going to stop us playing out before he can make a decision. They don't understand what I'm saying to them and they're refereeing a game in the top flight. Peter Banks' a good guy, but this is nothing new. It's sad.

"Wes (Foderingham) got jumped into by a player who turned his back and led with his elbow, stitches. Deemed the same offence by the referee as Ollie McBurnie saying someone is pulling his shirt. Where are we going? Where are we going? It's tough for me, we all love the game but the people who know the least about football are directing where the game is going. And that's what I can't take.

"Crazy. Absolutely barmy, but we're letting these guys run our game and we need to stop them."

😂😂😂😂
