Can see there is a lot to be done with the squad with that performance. Confidence is really low.

Good performances from Tanganga, Winks, Lo Celso, Moura and Lamela.

Made harder work of that than we should have in the end, but being through and unscathed is good. Labels and Tanganga the stand outs, GLC decent in the first half too.

Maybe an out-and-out No.9 could have put a couple more of those chances away...

We should have killed that game by half time and it shows just how poor we are at finishing! Not that we don't have the talent, more like we have players that see the goal before they see the options. Of course we also have a problem with individual mistakes at the back - we need to iron these issues out and rather sharpish too. Tanganga, Lo Celso & Lamela played bloody well tonight, Tanganga was exceptional, what a talent we have there!!

It's really strange but fitness has been a real issue this season.

Makes me wonder what Poch was doing, fitness is the foundation of his philosophy.

Yeah so that second half shows us where we're really at.

Which is that our fitness levels as a squad are incredibly poor. Obviously injury has played a part in this but there's no reason why Lo Celso should be gassed at the 47th minute other than poor conditioning.

So this is why Eriksen has played - and will continue to play - a lot of minutes until he goes. It's because despite everything he's clearly one of the few players who actually did Poch's "terrible training" routines at the start of the year and kept going when Mourinho arrived.

It is extremely worrying that the one player who has showed the most professionalism in maintaining fitness standards also happens the guy who has been wanting the club to sell him for two fucking years.

Bright side is that Lamela looked great and there's no questioning his commitment to aerobic fitness it's his hips etc that are a worry. Gio looks great but fuck me lad - do some work on going 90 minutes. Dier - was he one who didn't like double sessions? Cos he played much better when he did them.

The big story though is Tanganga - mint. Fit. Goes past players. Has awicked cross/shot on him. Wonderful.

COYS!

He got himself into good scoring positions two times in a short amount of time. He bungled both chances, but come on - he did well in the short time he got.

Dele of 18 months ago buries both chances. That last chance - we’ll, he was pathetic. Should have taken a positive touch and then buried it. Once he naffed it up he should have squared it. Naffed it up again.

Gio and Lamela tired as you'd expect second half given their limited game time But got good minutes in their legs and we looked so much better with two players that can show for the ball and use it quickly and intelligently.

Dier is quite sad to watch now can barely move.

Tanganga is a breath of fresh air whether at CB or RB.

And liked winks tonight. Some great attacking passing as well as good composure.
Also some good stuff from Sess.
