There was luck involved but you can’t reach the champions league final on luck alone.

We’re talking about a team which now can’t beat (and is often actively outplayed by) the worst teams in the league.

Another 'first' for Tottenham Hotspur. :D

It's really depressing watching us play atm. I'm not convinced Mourinho will take us the right way but the turgidity of our forward play is certainly on Poch's watch.
Everytime we work the ball forward there is hesitation in our play, its not even necessarily taking an extra touch, it's that fraction of a second delay before playing a key pass or delivering a cross. The whole team is affected by it, I define it as risk averse football. Incredible that in a team of professionals nobody wants to risk losing the ball to create a goal but for me that's what the problem is. The majority of open play goals aren't scored by waiting for the perfect pass, but by trying something before any has a chance to read it. I for one, hope we snap out of this soon.

Prices were pretty low for FA cup at Wembley , can't be more than £25 for new stadium or they will not sell

Was their goal checked with VAR?? Because it looked offside in the replay I saw, but it was never shown again. I thought there was no VAR at the FA Cup, until I saw VAR being used in chelsea's game

Think it's only being used in premiership stadiums

VAR was not available.

It's poor that a competition can have an eenie meenie miny moe approach to a supposedly top tier cup.

why some games have it and others not seems totally random, and you can skirt your luck in one round getting bad decisions go your way and then get help from VAR to win in the next round.

farcical IMO (a bit like VAR in general though)

I thought our movement and passing improved massively when Lamela & Lo Celso came on. Before that, we again looked so pedestrian and predictable - very concerning...

absolutely agree, lamela & Lo Celso must start every match for the foreseeable future, lamela in particular showing the passion that appears to be lacking in the whole team

I didn't see the game as I was traveling. Were we really bad?? Any positives to take away?

What will he blame this utter dogshit performance on? I'm going for 'fatigue'
Mourinho on the FA Cup draw: "I think this ball is a beach ball. It's too light. I don't think it helps the players. But that's not an excuse"

I thought basically anything was possible, but not this. Ffs.

Klopp has in the past been full of excuses, rain, wind, snow.....sun!

Sometimes it's good to find excuses to deflect the pressure from the players. In house Jose will know exactly what our main problems are.

Dele was played too deep. His best games recent have been when he's pushed alongside Kane make the runs into the box that lead to goals. He's simply not good enough when he plays deep. His passing isn't good enough his tackling isn't good enough & simply doesn't affect the game from there.
I dont disagree that he was played too deep, and is clearly better further forward. My issue is with the amount of times he slows the play down, loses the ball and make little to no effort in his attempt to win it back or make a challenge, this happens regardless of what area the pitch hes in. He has lost that nasty streak and has no aggression to his game any more and without it I find him very one dimensional and not really worthy of a place in the starting 11 be in midfield or further forward.

And I’ve had posters in the Kane thread telling me we don’t need another striker despite pointing that out. It’s crazy. We need another number 9.

Thats the job Llorente was doing, no one else is going to sit in the sidelines feeding on scraps till Kane is inured.

This team is so broken and short of confidence it's scary. Something mustn't be right. We were on quite a roll when Mourinho came, but it all went south after the loss to Manure.

I really don't believe the team is that bad. The players used to be fantastic. Now they are just pure shit. They are not lifted to play at all. No intent and passion. We caught a glimpse of what's possible when GLC and Lamela came on. What can be done to sustain that? And for one I really don't think Mourinho is of any issue.

Dropping players who are out of form when we have options should be the start. Alli on the bench next game.

Missed the game today but saw José and Eriksen trending on twitter. Lots of Arse fans and Man Utd fans laughing at us. Presumed we lost, looked for the result and find out it’s a draw! So we go in the pot for the next round and win our home reply why are we worried? Pretty sure everyone was mocking us when we were 3-0 down to Ajax last year as well. Chill, we’ve got this.

It’s funny how some just have a default comment of just saying how poor Eriksen has been. Like you haven’t even seen the match, just saw he started and needed something to say so reached for the stock ‘Eriksen has been poor’.

Not saying he was great but he was far from poor. One of our only players who had control of the ball was able to execute a pass.
He had passion. He’s far off his best but watching him throughout the game he certainly ‘gives a shit’ about the team and the games outcome.

Let's say it as it is, Jose has been poor so far.

Poch took 3 points from his last 15, losing to Brighton, drawing at home to Watford and away to Everton - both teams in rancid runs of form. We've palpably improved, even if It feels like things haven't.

JM has clearly had an impact - he needs a couple of windows to sort it out first, and the defence/ midfield issue is a disaster - but Jose has more points per game (1.8) over 9 games - than Poch in his 12 (1.2).
