You can see the sketches of a real team in there. Great interchange among the "front 5" Moura, Lamela, Lo Celso, Eriksen, and Sess when we're in possession. The creativity of those 5 means Dier and Winks can sit back and have less responsibility, essentially them just sitting in the middle of the pitch makes us much less open than we have been. Tanganga also really solidifies the right side.

Toby for Vertonghen, Ndombele in the pivot driving play forward, Son comes in for Eriksen with Moura and Son interchanging between the wings and up top then Lo Celso more central and it starts look like a proper team. Shame we don't have a proper #6.

Moura does some ridiculous stuff with a football sometimes... both wonderful and awful!

Shame watford’s Game was postponed but I guess they’d of played the reserves anyway.

He might have been our best centre back but that doesn’t really say a lot does it, with the centre backs we have at the moment.
Maybe, but "he's been shit since day one" is the sort of nonsense hyperbole that gets spouted about Alli. In my opinion.

Sanchez is still young for a CB.

Surely freezing him out isn't going to make him more likely to sign? Or is that amateurishly naive of me?

It’s always been our policy with young players. I’ve never agreed with it. Should give them a chance.

To be fair to him, Eriksen looks like a man who knows this is his last home game. Looks desperate to score

Did you see him sticking his head in when he had the chance of a headed goal or stick his foot in when the boots were flying?

no? me neither

he has been probably our best player in the last couple of months

I would say Sanchez is our best out and out defender but on the ball he can be a liability. Shoul d be told to play it simple and concentrate on defending

Enjoyed that half.

Tanganga more than holding his own again.

Some quick transition in attack, Eriksen beating first man from corner , thus far a clean sheet and two well taken goals from Spurs.

Luverly juberly. (y)

I really hope we don’t go and sign one of the immobile lumps we’ve been linked with. Sign another AM and interchange Lucas and Son at CF please. Plenty of pace, movement and attacking threat.

Chuck someone like Llorente in that front line and it all goes to shit.

Jeez. Rochdale not just gifting Newcastle the goals, they’re wrapping them up in glittery paper and ribbons.

Was funny seeing their GK moaning at the defenders so much for the first two then fucking up massively for the third :ROFLMAO:

I do wonder what games some of you are watching, the amount of negative comments baffles me. This is some of the most fluid and lovely quick, first time passing we've seen since Mourinho joined. I dont think we've played a single long pass. Lo Celso and Lamela have been excellent. They bring so much energy. Great first half. COYS

What’s Alli got to do with it? We’re talking about Sanchez. If it’s a choice between Alli and Sanchez I know who I’d get rid of.

I really don't think he is shocking. Yes, he made some terrible mistakes in the past, but some great saves as well. Absolutely fine as a number 2 for me.
He looks like he has won a competition to play in goal for us in a charity match. If he is the best second choice we can find then we should sack the scouts for gross misconduct
