Another one I'm not sure the rules on, but if the ref saw it doesn't that mean that no retrospective punishment can be given? I hope not because that <unmentionable> needs to be feel the full force of the law.

Dembele got a six game ban retrospectively. That was the prem and this is CL but it was a blow to the head. Having said that, I doubt anything happens.

A few stats to keep us believing till the 2nd leg

Spurs have progressed to the next round on each of the past nine occasions in which they have won the first leg of a European knockout match (excluding qualifiers).

Manchester City have lost all five of their European matches against English opposition, including all three in the Champions League.

City have been eliminated from all three of their previous Champions League knockout matches when they have lost the first leg.

Look it’s going to be incredibly difficult to contain City in the 2nd leg, but boy have we given ourselves a fantastic chance to go through with that win and most importantly clean sheet. All we need is a Dortmund style defensive performance and even a draw is good enough. City have to go for the win so will throw everything at us, but we can nick a goal like we did against Dortmund. My head still says City are far to strong and will probably go through, but we are well in this tie. Come on!!!!!!!

I hate to say it but I don't think it's a penalty. The difference between the two incidents is Rose's hand ball was goal bound (still think it was soft) and the Liverpool one was going out for a corner. I fucking hate that team with a passion and would have laughed myself to sleep if it had been given, but not for me.

Doesn't matter. You're basically saying, If a RB/LB whips in a cross & it hits someone's arm, it's not a penalty because it wasn't goal bound.

Supposedly the ref saw it and gave fernandinho a good telling off .

Nice fair officiating

Rewatched some clips of the match. Our defence was majestic last night. Disciplined, covered for each other, perfect zone pressing all over the pitch.

More of that please!
