He is a breath of fresh air imo. Romero stands still for 15/20 seconds with the ball at his feet, and dragon actually runs, broke their press a few times and knocked a few balls over the top. Romero take note.
Exactly. Love Cuti. But he slows the game down in the press and as you say he stands still for too long and usually his eventual pass is to the opposition and they then break. I can only remember one excellent pass through the lines where unfortunately Son was on his heels.

I’m concerned about our form , very happy to get the win but I’m not enjoying what I’m watching . It’s all very bitty , a chance here , a chance there but never really sustained pressure where the opposition can’t get out thier half . We also only seem to have one way to score a goal and that’s the cross along the 6 yard box . Defensively we are a shambles and I wouldn’t be suprised if we took a couple of batterings between now and the end of the season. We’ve regressed as a team , we look lethargic and ponderous in large parts of games . Credit today to Johnson , Romero and Dragusin , decent cameos from lo Celso and bentancur but the rest were not on it . How many needless fouls did we give away today . I’m not sure what the answer is , perhaps the players are just not good enough but I’d be expecting to see performances at this stage of the season and instead I’m seeing 15 mins a game of decent play .

I don’t think the international break helped

we have lost our groove, pretty sure if we can get a run going it will come back.

He doesn't have to score he can just create the openings for others. He brings chaos for defenders backing into their own box.

Exactly, he’s the only player who consistently does this. He’s similar to Sterling in the sense that he causes issues for the opposition defence which often results in your ‘finishes’ being unmarked and ready to an effort on goal. I know we need a couple of better players out wide in the squad but with a new clinical striker, Werner should see a noticeable rise in assists and/or participation in goals

Such a strange reaction to the game yesterday, felt like I was in a bubble. People sitting around me being negative about us in the first half while I was confidently positive about how we’d played and the chances we’d been creating (Werner had their right back in his pocket the whole game).

Felt like people were spouting negativity purely based on the scoreline rather than how we were playing.

Only area of negativity in my eyes was how we dropped all our momentum in the 10 mins after Sarr & Maddison went off (70-80). Gio & Bentancur just weren’t showing or making any moves for the ball and our defence had no options to play it out quickly.

Gio picked up in the final 10 with some good movements in the final third but think both need to look at how the can help move the ball out from the back four

Luton's press was better than our by some margin imo. Almost all the time Luton had a very easy out ball. Disappointing we can't organise one.

They also allowed Vic to come as far forward with the ball as far he liked

I like him , but I think the only reason he makes those runs is because he doesn’t have the passing or ball retention skills.
Still, if it works for him…

I genuinely believe having such big gaps between games has actually hindered us. We can't get a good momentum going.

There have been more than enough positive signs this season, if we can continue to grind out results, secure CL football and strengthen in the summer then we're set up very well for next season. I get that we've waited long enough and football is all about instant reward but the reality is that it takes time to fully implement a style and a mentality and we're well on our way.

Was he passing the ball with his left to Udogie because he wasn't against Fulham
He definitely passed it to Udogie a few times but I can't recall if it's was with his left foot.
